Who actually knows where the name is coming from?? From Hamburg....one of the most beautiful cities in the world. There they had this ‘Rundstueck’ and inbetween a piece of ‘Frikadelle’,grilled or pan fried. It used to be simply eaten with mustard or a slice of ‘Gewuerzgurke’ . In high school, I was in JROTC. I went to the military ball my junior year. My date was a black girl. I had a ball, although I'm not sure she did. 🤷 She did ask me to prom though, so I guess I did pretty well.
