It's amazing the way you share your recipes and show people to eat healthy and compassionately. You're teaching your baby to eat the same way!. She will grow up beautifully snd she will be able to see animals as friends, not food. I have been a vegan for almost 18 years Loving every minute. I hope these inspires other mothers to do the same way. I don't have any kids but if I did I will definitely have teaching them to eat plant based.

Oh no... not trying to judge or anything but children should not be submitted to a vegan diet. This has been proven harmful and in the best case, children should be able to benefit from a variety of foods that animals can provide. It's for the best interest of the child.

I did baby led weaning with both my children and also breastfed them until they self-weaned, which both did at around 5 years of age. They're 6 and 10 now and I wouldn't change anything about how I fed them.

I stopped breastfeeding before my 5th and youngest bubs 4th birthday because I had never breastfed for that long before and ppl acted like it was so strange to breastfeed for so long. I regret listening to others, ever since I stopped I noticed she would get sick more often and it would hit her like never before, where as prior she never get as much as a sniffle that would disappear by the next day. Also prior to stopping, the entire house got covid, every child except her got it too. She thrived.

@@lalat5649 I know what you mean about people thinking it's weird. I kind of didn't really tell many people how long I was breastfeeding my children, only those very close to me knew. But that is still a long time you fed yours and you definitely gave them a very good start.

I'm living happily on plant-based whole foods for several years myself due to medical conditions but I think - also especially as a health care expert - it's highly critical to nourish a baby without the whole range of foods (that includes meat and diary too even if you don't eat it). The risk of malnourishment is way too high - especially regarding bone density, impact of phyto-estrogens in soy etc - and also, the kid should decide themself if they want to live vegan later in life if they're capable to decide to.
@AlexandraAndersson Жыл бұрын
I understand where you're coming from. I get my info from science based resources, you can check out nutritionfacts.org. I feel confident in giving her plant based foods and give her what we eat in our home. When she is old enough to understand she will of course have the choice of doing what she wants
@pomberry3591 Жыл бұрын
do you have a peer reviewed source on the impact of phytoestrogens?
@karendesmit5601 Жыл бұрын
I would just advise to be careful what sources of information you base your 'facts' on. The internet is full of information, much of which is not scientifically accurate. Be sure to follow robust research based on trials/tests that are peer-reviewed, have reduced likelihood of bias and are current. Following nutrition websites will feed you what you want to hear. I love watching your channel and gaining new plant-based recipes, however, I wouldnt become vegan as I believe that any dietary pathway that cannot provide 100% of required nutrients without processed supplements isnt for me. Nonetheless, each to their own - just be careful to research thoroughly. I have a family member who was vegetarian for many years until having children and then after doing her research chose to provide dairy & meat to her children in small quantities. At the end of the day you will decide for yourself. @@AlexandraAndersson

The height of selfishness…”the baby must fit into your lifestyle”…then rather not have a baby. A baby cannot fit into an adult lifestyle because a baby is not an adult. Selfish adults don’t want to adjust their routines.
