As a first time mom, this was very helpful to me! My husband and I have been feeling a little bit stressed because our daughter is not interested in eating her solids yet (6.5 months), she’s mostly playing with it. So to see the amount you give to Anne versus what she actually ate made me feel so much better! Thank you for your content. 💗

Same here! Seeing a mom of 4 still kind of 'struggling' with solids with her 8 month old made me not give up BLW. It's a beautiful journey in the end and totally worth it!

Please make more videos like this. My daughter is also 8 mos and I have been learning a lot from you. I discovered your channel when I was pregnant and I find your videos very therapeutic. I love your calm and point of view especially with baby led weaning and sleep training. You help me become less anxious as a mom of two figuring things out. Thank you ❤

Thank yoy for showing us the leftovers! I love how realistic this is but still encouraging of building a baby's flavor palate.

Loved the video!!! Wow kids are so different, man!! My daughter was just like this. At 9 months she was still playing and exploring with food, getting the majority of her calories from milk. She gave up the milk and started to rely only on solid foods at 18 month old! My boy noooow he just self-weaned at 9.5 months because he eats sooo much solid food!! He's just no interested in nursing anymore!Just shows how different kids are. Hope my comment is helpful to some moms that are worried about their child feeding jouney.❤

I absolutely love the meal-centered videos, I'm constantly out of ideas & I just watched & rewatched your baby led weaning video with your 8mo boy at the time, to get ideas for my 1st baby

This was so helpful Delilah. My daughter is 2 and most of her food ends up on the floor. I'm glad you showed how you offered your daughter's food. Please do more videos of baby feeding! I was so stressed, still am with feeding my toddler and this gave me so much more confidence. I will buy the baby led weaning cookbook you mentioned in previous videos. Do you modify the food let's say beef mince depending if you baby has teeth or not? My husband would tell me to overcook the rice so my daughter won't choke or get constipated when she was 8 months old. Mind you, she started teething at 14 months.

Yes, please do more like these! Need more ideas and encouragement starting 7 month old on solids. 4th baby, but still find it challenging.

Hi Delilah, do you have any recipe ideas for leftover puree foods? My daughter doesn't like being spoon fed, she much prefers baby led weaning and I have some fruit and some vegetable purées I need to somehow use?
@mariesandovalbeau6 ай бұрын
This also happened to me 🥲 I offered them on top of a sliced toast, and as a dipping sauce for other veggies and my baby ate them. Hope it helps! 💗

My baby doesn't love being spoon-fed either! I often put them in the little food pouches so he can hold them and eat them that way. It's messy, but it works!
@ilonadevries186 ай бұрын
Depending on which food they are you can use them in baking! Like apple sauce, pumkinpurree, zucchini are all perfect for bananenbread or mufffins. Or let them defrost and stir through oatmeal :)
@bonjyb6 ай бұрын
Fruit purées are nice mixed in with porridge or in plain yoghurt . Or, if you can keep them for another few months if it’s in a sachet (also assuming you’re weaning around 6 months or so) then they may be interested in trying to use the spoon themselves around 1 year anyway, if not before if you have a more independent- minded child!

When doing research I found that maple syrup can cause botulism and should be treated like honey and not given till 1? Have you researched it if so I'd love to know where you got your info cause I'd love to also read it if not all good

Hello, Delilah. I wanted to let you know that I watched your video on baby-led weaning and found it very helpful. I tried to start my baby on this method when she was 6 months old, but she didn't take to it very well. She is almost 7 months old now and I was wondering at what age you started baby-led weaning?
@hannahroseloftus976 ай бұрын
I know you are asking Delilah but from someone who has done it twice, my experience was I tried it with my first baby at exactly 6 months and they took a long time to get into it, didn’t actually eat food until I want to say 9-10 months, more payed with it. I waited until 7-8 months with my second child and it didn’t take them as long but still they mostly just played with it but they did pick it up faster than my first. My first was very gaggy and couldn’t figure out chewy motion for a while. In hind site I don’t think they were ready at all. All you can do is go off your instincts and baby’s cues, it really is more for fun and experience before 1 as milk is their main source of nutrients ☺️
