maybe at that rate they might finish half a book a year!
@ivolederer12374 жыл бұрын
@@Kerm88 Actually, it‘s more like a month. If I take the audiobook of „Red White and Royal Blue“ as an example (which is quite long at around 400 pages), 20 minutes a day will get me to finish the 12 hours of audiobook in 36 days.
@laperalta28704 жыл бұрын
Even if it’s 20-30 pages
@keepuwu-ing76534 жыл бұрын
30 mins a day will get u 20-30 pages a day depending on how fast you read, so in a week you will go thru 20x7= 140pages, in a month you will read aprox 20x30=600 pages so you will finish a thicccccc book in a month or 2 smaller ones. So in a year you would finish 600x12=7200pages. An average book is 400 pages so assuming you'll only be reading 400 page books, in a year you would burn thru 18 books. In 10 years you got 180 books

This is also my problem. Love to read but working 8-9 hours a day does not leave much room at all to get the important things done, let alone downtime to relax and read if you so choose. Maybe 2 books in 30 days for those of us who have to work too much? That’s a goal I can get behind actually.

I do 8-10, you can wake up earlier to meal prep and schedule 1-3 hours of reading before bed. Usually can manage 100 pages an hour on average 50 pages an hour is normal. It boils down to commitment and enjoyment, creating obstacles and saying I can't be bothered or making excuses isn't going to help. No disrespect just being blunt.

If you enjoyed the premise of History of The Rain, you might enjoy Fun Home by Alison Bechdel. It’s a graphic novel & a memoir about Bechdel’s relationship with her father, who committed suicide when she was in college. She is basically decoding her relationship with him, and much of her relationship with him was based on literature. She uses examples from Colette, The Odyssey, Ulysses, and various other works to make some sense of her father’s life, death, and treatment of her.
