@Kristin Stepp yes it was. They're 9 and 4 months. Thank you, us too. Both surgeries are major surgeries. Mine is to fix two fistulas. One is in my bladder. My hubby's is to fix a large hernia that's pushing against his right lung. He's on oxygen 24-7 due to Covid damaging his lungs.

When I making chicken noodle soup, I like to add the noodles separately to each bowl, so if there is leftover soup, the noodles don’t absorb all the broth. Just a quick tip!

If you have smaller foil sheets, next time fold them together to seal them, folding a few times in thin lines, and it will seal good, I do this when I need to cover a large turkey, it seals good and doesn't allow much steam to escape. Hope that helps you.

Happy new year! I just wanted to say that your channel is one of the things that’s really helped me fall in love with cooking. I’m a single person and I didn’t grow up in a house that did a lot of family meals (and no one in my life growing up liked to cook), so I didn’t have a good relationship with cooking or the kitchen in general. Your channel has been one of the things that’s really inspired me to try things out in the kitchen because you make cooking so much less intimidating than a lot of other KZbinrs. I'm only a minute in, but want to say how much I appreciate your videos. While I'm quickly tiring of other channels, your videos are always refreshing. I can watch them any time for inspiration. I like that most of your ingredients come from a common store that most have access to. I find your accent enjoyable and comfortable as well. I also like that you are not so rigid that you must follow a recipe to the letter, but also not so anti-recipe that you're wildly throwing ingredients into pots(like I've seen on other channels). It's also very nice that you are always drama free. Thank you for that. Please don't change.

Hi Kristin , Happy New Years to you all! I wanted to share you can freeze your celery. I buy a bunch of bunches of celery, carrots, onions, etc., and chop them. Then once everything is chopped I portion them and freeze them. Then when I need them for recipes I don’t have to cut them up. I have never had a problem and have been doing it for years.

I hated bell peppers too! Finally my sister got me to try the mini sweet peppers that come in yellow, orange and red. Those are the way to use that pepper flavor! I have eaten those little ones raw, cooked and they are excellent! I always turned my nose up at them cause they smell like bell peppers. But they are way sweeter and work great in fajitas! Any time a recipe calls for bell pepper, I use those little ones instead. Your kids might like them instead! I first tried them with Marzetti’s ranch veggie dip. Highly recommend this method to try them!😉

Happy New Year Kristin! You hit me right in the feels on not being able to wait to close out this chapter and start the New Year. This year was the year I got hit with a cancer diagnosis at the same time my little brother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I lost him on August 21st, he was only 31. I got hit with breast cancer February 1st, started chemo in May and just had a double mastectomy the Wednesday before Christmas, also in my 30’s. My mom died of breast cancer at 42 so the level of fear I’ve had this year, scared I was going to leave my son without a mom, the amount of nights I spent praying and crying is unreal. A week before my mastectomy my childhood best friend passed away from leukemia, she was a police officer and left behind a husband and 2 little girls 6 and 3. Throw in my granny passing 6 days after my little brother and I don’t know how I’m still standing. Through this all I have went to work, put on a brave face, hid my diagnosis from my clients and set record sales numbers even missing significant time from work for chemo, surgeries ( I had 4 this year) and just kept driving on. Suddenly, now that I’m in my recliner with nothing to do I’m reflecting on everyone I lost this year and questioning why God gave me this chance to keep going when my brother and my friend didn’t? What is my purpose? What am I supposed to learn from this? Who am I supposed to be helping because I feel a pull like I am supposed to use my experience to help someone else? The one thing I haven’t lost is my faith and God has always promised to not give us a cross we can’t bear. Even when it flooded He gave Noah a rainbow which tells me He has something beautiful planned for me after all of this. It won’t be revealed in my time but in His. I feel tested like a modern day Job but I believe firmly God has something so special planned for me, that He calling on me to do His work and only through trial will I be able to fulfill my path He has laid out.

Yes God has a purpose for you. He will reveal it to you in His time. I couldn't imagine the grief you have been through for the ones you have lost and for yourself. Stay strong and look to God. I myself have been on death's door in the ICU for a week in 2014, I was stricken with AFIB and my heart was beating 200 beats a minute. Doctors said I could have had a heart attack or a stroke. I am saved and I knew I was in God hands and surrendered my life to God and didn't worry if the situation turned out one way or the other. I was never scared or cried, I believe He gave me peace with the whole situation. God bless you sweetie, I pray you will recover from this. ❤️

Hey girl! I actually freeze my leftover celery (pre-chopped). We never use more than a couple of stalks either. I can usually get 2 or 3 recipes from one bunch of celery by using it from the freezer.

A tip for your aluminum foil....fold the 2 pieces you had together, place it in the middle then seal it over the ends of your dish all the way. I do that all the time.

I'm so happy I came across your videos in a desperate call to make easy wholesome meals. My 14 year old boy is 5'11 and my 10 year old boy is 5'4. I feel like they have a hole in their tummies, the food just go right through, they are always hungry. I tried multivitamins, I tried eggs, peanuts, pretzel, bagel, cup a soup, minute noodles, fruit, dried fruit, muffins.... everything to snack in between meals but they always say Mommy I'm hungry. I'm 5'9 and my husband 6'3...I can't get this boys to stop munching lol. Hubby is also a truck driver.

I like to dice my leftovers celery and just freeze it. Pull out what I need, when I need. Also, have you tried the reames egg noodles from the freezer section?? We love those in our chicken noodle soup.

Sorry I'm a little behind again. This year is starting as bad as last year ended. Everything looks good. I keep forgetting to get pork chops when I'm at the store. I can't remember the last time I had them. I usually get them dry also and don't know why. I don't have an air fryer. I don't know where I would put it if I did. Maybe if I ever get moved. I think I would enjoy a stuff Philly shell them cheeseburger🤷‍♀️. I would make half the stake and chicken fajita with triple the veggies.. I dont like stake husband does.. I dont mix meat so will used cream of onion or mushrooms or celery.. but husband will ne happy for me to make this since I usually only make pork chops and rice. Which is similar to your chicken and rice using tomato sauce your choice and can tomatoes(stewed as best flavor) and pork chops.

FYI, next time you can chop up ALL your celery and freeze what you don’t use :) Then the next time you have a recipe that calls for it, you can use that frozen stuff up before buying another stalk!
