Those jeans look amazing on your. I just wish more denim companies would make cute jeans without strategically placed tears and holes. I can wear jeans to work but they can't have holes no matter how fashionable they may be.

I am 52 years old and have been "dieting', restricting and counting calories almost my whole life. My weight issues started after being diagnosed with asthma at 7. I was put on a steroid that caused me to gain a lot of weight over a very fast period of time. This was the start of my diet life style...as a 52 year old Canadian I have never eaten a Poutine as well as many other common treats because I would never eat that many calories in one sitting. After watching your all in video a light bulb went of in my head...I have become so food obsessed and I have to stop the obsession...not by depriving myself but by stopping restricting the food. I made the conscious decision to stop counting calories and stop restricting. I started eating what I want when I want without guilt...the no guilt thing is hard and takes constant coaching on my part. What I am finding is I am losing my obsession for food...I am eating more when I am hungry and less because the clock says it is time to eat. I am enjoying the food I am eating but weirdly I am enjoying food less...hard to explain but buy making food less restrictive I have taken some of the glory away. "treats" are not treats when you can eat them anytime ... food has become somewhat normal to me. Anyway I had never heard of the ALL IN PLAN before and don't suffer from constant hunger or a overly large appetite but your video helped me SO much. Thank you and I look forward to your book.
@Laura-vs6fs4 жыл бұрын
that is so nice to hear. I wish you all the best and lots of love and support on your journey. Yeah, her all in plan is good for people like her, who are eating less than for a normal person their height and age and also they exercise far more, so they are in a even larger calorie deficit and are undereating up to 40% for example. That is why they have the huge hunger and the other symptoms are similar to all eating disorders bc your body is just out of balance.

Maybe I should have said that Dr. Stephanie Buttermore is an incredible woman because she works hard which is seen in her earning her doctorate which I know from personal experience takes a great deal of hard work. Maybe I should have said that I appreciate her showing her strength and vulnerability on a very public platform. Yes, I also said that she is beautiful because she is. Beauty is shown both outwardly and inwardly. She shares both in how she cares for her mother and looks to healing her own body. I'm so sorry that there are still people on social media who just want to cancel other people's thoughts and words. I'm thankful for the opportunity to give praise where it is due.

Dear Steph, I'm about to finish med school,and planning to get into the research field, and you're a huge inspiration for me for being a woman of science! Also, I admire your honesty to admit you made a mistake and did what it required to get back on track, there's nothing more scientific than that! I've also been struggling to keep a decent schedule of eating (coffee is one hell of a drug), ,sleeping and exercising because of studying and being in front of my computer for hours, but I recall myself that without our bodies being healthy and feeling good, the hard work we put into these goals won't be as fullfiling as we would expect... I'm curious to know if you had the time or opportunity to reach out to a therapist, I think it will help you to better understand where the "hate" from people in the internet comes from (maybe only 5-10% of it is actually valid criticism,but nothing more than that), and how you can shield yourself with healthy thoughts and inner reassurance about what you want to put out to the world. I hope you're having a lovely time with your mom! (I could write more but I don't want this to be a testament haha)

The more I watch bloggers on KZbin, the more I realize how insecure every single one of them is. And it's so sad because if you are trying to live up to OTHER PEOPLE's expectations from you, you don't belong to yourself anymore. Is that the life you wanna have? One good thing to remember: you, and ONLY YOU matter for yourself. If other people don't like the way you live it's not your problem, leave them alone with their problems and THEIR opinion of you. What truly matters is your opinion of yourself. And that's what unfortunately most people don't even have nowadays. End rant lol
@steveandnadia4 жыл бұрын
Anna Milagreira I don’t think KZbinrs are straight up insecure. I think all humans care about what others think of them, like what your partner, family, neighbour, colleague and boss say about you. Or else you wouldn’t get upset, sad or hurt ever. But the thing with being a KZbinr is that it’s been magnified to a wider and bigger audience. I know for sure it’s easy said than done to look the other way, but you’re going to have days where you start to doubt yourself..and those days are normal. It’s even harder for someone who is leading or standing up for an ‘idea’ that is new like Stephanie is doing. But the difference with KZbinrs, when done right, they change people’s lives through their content.

Lets be real: We all care about the opinions of those we've invested in emotionally or those for whom we have respect or those who have some controll over the results of what we've invested our energy into. Stephanie Buttermore put a lot of energy into her fitness channel.Her public would constitute those who have some control over the results of what she put her energy into. And so naturally, she would care about how she is being received, not because she is insecure but because she cares about the impact her content has, in her passion to help others on their fitness journey. The fact that she feels that she has something worthwhile and helpful to relate shows that she is not at heart an insecure person. She is a human being who has the courage to shine her light despite the vulnerability involved owing to attackers who seek to discredit her or concepts of beauty we can all fall prey to, and especially the concept of beauty her audience would likely have based on her previous content. I don't see her or all bloggers as insecure. She, like anyone, including you, may be insecure about aspects of herself at different given moments but as a whole she is a secure person in her belief that she has something worth sharing with the world. And even more so for overcoming a concept of beauty so many of us share in the Western World. She is triply secure for overcoming that concept of beauty publicly to an audience who is likely to partake in that very concept of beauty. This takes an incredible amount of security in oneself that most wouldn't have. Obviously, I don't share your opinion about all bloggers, much less, Stephanie Buttermore being insecure.Also I think anyone who loves themselves and doesn't care about anyone's opinion of them ever, is being both dishonest with themselves and impractical.While there are people who care too much about people's opinions of them, "too much," in my books would be defined as caring about a stranger's opinion who has no impact on anything they've put their emotion, respect or energy into.

wistful sighs sometimes we invest our energy in the wrong people and when Steph had a fitness/cheat day related content her audience was mostly people obsessed with looks/muscles/binge eating videos (that’s how I see it at least and I might be wrong here though) Now that her videos are different (sometimes even opposite to what she used to post) the audience (the one who supports fitness and dieting hard) might react in a negative way. And here comes the true challenge whether you take personally all the things strangers on the Internet tell you or you ignore it because only your opinion (and yes, I agree on opinion of people close to you) matter to you. I’m in no way attacking KZbinrs. And of course I’m not saying that being insecure is a bad thing. But unfortunately I see a sad tendency where social media stars/bloggers are trying really hard to please other people to the point that they have a mental breakdown. They are trying so hard to look good in the eyes of other people that they lose their identity. This is sad but it can be fixed. For that, a person must be able to find support and help inside themselves first and foremost. In life, it’s you who must be your own defender and caregiver. And I believe that everyone can be that. And the fact that a person is secure in one belief doesn’t mean that they are secure as a whole. Thank you.

Views are their income. Nobody is living up to other people's expectations, they set the standards of your expectations actually. And if the majority of the viewers don't like content, it IS a problem, financially.

You are one of the rare KZbinrs where I leave your videos and feel that I’ve learned something and it’s just genuine content. Thank you for sharing your life with us. It isn’t always easy!

I love seeing you take care of your mom. I’m also my moms caregiver currently and I’m her only one. So it’s comforting seeing someone else doing the same. Shout out to the strong and amazing daughters!

Just bought the program 🥰 it’s a lot more than just “do this then this”, a lot of info and you learn things about working out, I really do recommend it. I think I’m going to use the program at my gym because I don’t have any equipment at home :)

As a former sufferer of anorexia (and so highly aware of the pressures many of us face to look a certain way, if we cave into society's idea of perfection) I can fully empathise with your struggles and am so grateful for you for being honest about them. It makes me feel more "normal" and less self-conscious of any issues I have/still have. I love the way you are thinking or writing your book and would be so excited to read it! Best wishes to you :) x x x

Thank you for being real. The ups and downs are what the journey is all about. There's no winning or losing. It's all the journey. Seeing your good days and your bad makes relate to you on a personal level. Most videos make you feel like I have to be at good as them. I appreciate you greatly.
