i'm currently dating a Muslim man, and its the best relationship I have had. he's very attentive, makes sure that i'm always well taken care off. He loves my kids as his own. And although we are in different religions, the respect is always there. he's the love of my life. And i would marry him over and over and over again if he ever asked. I can't live without him. So respect is key, no respect, no good relationship. Religion is just an opinion that we carry around hoping that we're all correct.

@@UmmShuayb sorry for.the late response sis. I'm actually just seeing your comment. While I respect your opinion, I have to reiterate again that I'm not exposing anyone's sins or promoting anything. The purpose of these videos isn't to encourage sinning. The intent is for the Believers in our community to take an honest look at ourselves and actually address the issues that we're experiencing instead of acting like they don't exist. We can find thousands of videos online explaining to us what we are supposed to be doing and those videos are extremely helpful. But there aren't many places where we can find honest Conversations about the actual conditions of our people and issues that we experience in out community. The point of these videos is just to start a conversation so that we can actually address the nonsense..

Practicing Muslim men look for a Muslimah to marry that's on the deen. Marrying a non-Muslim woman is a very difficult path. The religious path is different. The children have to have the deen of the man and that brings up a lot of conflicts down the line. In Islam, there's no mixing of religions. Muslims aren't allowed to celebrate non-Muslim holidays, including birthdays. Not to say that they don't, but that's another topic about haram that opens up. When I got married, I was Christian, even though Islam was circling my path since I was 12 years old. I stopped eating pork when I was Christian, prior to getting married, on my own because to me it tastes disgusting. When I got married, I understood that my children will have to be Muslim. I would contemplate on what kind of mother will I be if I can't teach my children their religion. So, I started to look into Islam again and it covers my core beliefs. AlHamdulillah I became a Muslimah. My family don't like it that I'm a Muslimah. My parents eventually became Muslim right before they died. But in Islam, men are allowed to marry the women of the book. Most Christian women are not women of the book, especially those from the west who believe in the trinity. Orthodox Christian women follow the teachings of Isa, the son of Maryam, peace be upon him, the closest than any other sect of Christianity.

I think people need to understand that we practice our faith in Islam but we are not perfect. However, we should always strive to be better in our faith. As a Muslim man we should always look for a relationship with another Muslim woman first. If we find ourselves interested in a non Muslim woman, we should have an expectation of her to learn Islam with the expectation of her converting. If not it is a divided home and the first sign of weakness in a home. Man is responsible for leading and teaching, so being united in faith is extremely important. Also we need to read and pray obligated. We have the Quran as a tool available to guide us and the profits words. So when I hear these watered down responses, that is not Islam, that’s just one person opinion. If you are dating a man who is Muslim and he is not actively praying and going to the Mosque on a regular, then he is showing you that his commitment to Islam is very low. Islam is a beautiful and strict religion and I am grateful for that, and I hold my brothers accountable and as they do me.
