Spock is in love with Chapel. The season 2 finale when he thought that she had been killed on the USS Cayuga in my opinion made him realize just how much he loves her and can’t let her go.. I know most will say but that’s Star Trek Spock Cannon and it’s meant to be that way! Well fuuuuuck that let’s see something new! Hell him being in a true relationship with her may be the reason why he becomes that awesome pointed ear Spock we all know and love! Spock and Chapel make such a great couple on Star Trek SNW’s. Can’t wait for season 3!

They found the formula to make Star Trek in the 2nd Season. Picard failed (in my opinion) bcuz Patrick Stewart and Jery Ryan weren't playing their old characters. They couldn't find them anymore. This serie in the other hand is new, the only character who have to play an old crewmember is Spock and Ethan Peck is doing a great job. In regard of Discovery....well. hope we can forget it existence.

Great show, but I hope the writing team for season 3 stop playing around with low-hanging fruit like Spock’s conflict of being human and Vulcan and instead just give us (literally) another ‘Strange New World’ - the second season only gave us one …maybe two planets, but out of ten episodes I cannot help but wonder why they had nothing more to offer, especially with their budget. I mean the show’s title is pretty explicit about there being new worlds and considering half the Star Trek fan-base is wrought with high-functioning autism you should probably interpret that literally.

Star Trek strange new world is one of my favorite comedy streaming shows! I love their creative and bold take on Spock turning him into a childish buffoon! It's great! I mean we've already seen the stoic and logical Vulcans, And even when that disciplined is challenged or compromised at times and so the writers decision to cast this version of Spock As the comedic relief foil, analogous to Urkel, or Boner from Growing pains!
@Victor-bl2ge10 ай бұрын
Holy shit just don't watch it. It obvious this is a younger Spock and in this episode one that has been turned into a human, which is 100% classic campy TOS but you deliberately ignore that to be pedantic.

Believe it or not, they actually address this in the Lower Decks crossover episode. Boimler's reaction is interesting to say the least.
@gelman669 ай бұрын
Fascinating. A completely illogical comment. "A childish buffoon?" Could not disagree more. He struggles to reconcile two identities and sometimes that's messy even comical. Stick to TOS reruns if you can't handle any deviation from the canon.

Spock is half Vulcan half human, Sarek did say in TNG he did NOT behave in the way he was expected to as a Vulcan, staying away in the Forge for days at a time and although he punished Spock he still would do the same thing, watch the TNG episode "Sarek" and you will see Spock was not the Spock we know until well into Kirk's time as Captain of the Enterprise.
