I know, a lot of people say you shouldn't do law if you're not serious or passionate about it, or your doing it because you don't know what you want to do, but I think that is the best job for me because 1. I hate math and stem 2. English is not bad, I can do some critical thinking The problem is that I've heard that lawyers is on call all the time and doing a lot of documents before going to court and winning (or losing) the case. I mean as long as I can organize everything and work well, I will do it. But, I have a sewing hobby that I WANT to continue into my adulthood. I talked to my dad about his suggestion of being a lawyer and the money and job sound stable, but it seems very strict and structured. Honestly, considering my personality: anxious and hard working and stubborn, can I handle it? I'm so afraid... p.s I have more, but I'm not going to push all my burdens onto this comment

Greetings Sister First congrats on having successfully completing law school and becoming an attorney. I can most certainly say you will always be on-call, our minds run a million miles a minute, you almost have to be nuts to be in this profession or nuts about this profession. This is a legal company and we get tons of questions and requests from friends family co workers anyone who know what you are, who you are. We connect with attys across country and you are correct that school does not prepare you for every practice, some things you will need to learn etc, we handle estates, wills, business formations contracts, and will eventually move into family law and real estate, notary etc. I enjoyed your video thoroughly and thanks!

If you have a friend who is a lawyer and want advice from that friend, offer something. Anything! Taking them out to lunch, offering some sort of service in return. One friend of mine offered to paint a picture of my cat if I helped her with a small legal issue. I appreciated it and we were both happy to be able to help the other. There is liability with every question lawyers answers and I don't think people understand that either. The question that always makes me cringe and brace is: "Can I ask you a question?" I know that they're going to ask a legal question and then it puts me in this crappy position of having to either take the liability if I give a wrong answer (which often means I need to do research to make sure I'm giving the right answer) or I look like a jerk and say I don't offer legal advice outside of work. So if you do have a friend who is a lawyer and want to ask a question, it goes a long way to offer a little something in return so that the friend doesn't feel taken advantage of. The only reason that friend has that answer is through years of hard work and stress.

That’s only something you can decide! I would do more research on the profession and think about what you want. since you’re only in high school, you have plenty of time! ☺️
