Came back to after a month of backend work to say we're up and running on all platforms with several episodes already finished and scheduled. We wouldn't have made it past "having an idea" phase without the help of your video!

I’ve watched about 2 to 3 of your videos in the past 24 hours and it’s really helped me to start plotting for my podcast so thanks for that. I watch a lot of podcasts too but my two favourites are cocktails and takeaways and pressed

Love all the goodies you bring to us, Katie! I'm Bill and I have a show Bill Reads Bad Reviews. It's the place where we discuss all the awful things people say about our favorite movies. It's surprising the truly terrible (and hilarious) movie reviews that people leave on the internet 🤣 just thought I'd drop that there to answer your question. Keep up the great work!

Thank you for sharing! I'm working on pivoting from the fitness space into the mental health space and starting with a podcast that opens up more conversation about all of our hidden struggles. Exciting, but terrifying to start feeling "behind" in both transitioning "careers" as well as getting into an entirely new platform!!

This is the angle i was looking for, most advice is about "what mic to use" "where to upload" but i wanted to see opinions on how to actually make something people will care about enough to listen to lol.

Also as you asked about suggestions for new podcasts, here is a cheeky plug - the EnvisionAir Podcast is my new podcast - season 1 just launched with a few episodes! It’s a feel good podcast in case you are looking for a uplifting one! Also love the Daily podcast for all current affairs, and Oprah’s Supersoul podcast! Can’t go wrong with those! Xx

You're so good at this! When creating my podcast in SS, under FEEDS/Podcasting, where you enter all the data like title, author, etc... should the title of my podcast have my name (the host)in it? Example " The Suburbs With Laura Marie"... or would it be just "The Suburbs"? What do you suggest and what is normal to do, as all the platforms will pull from this title?

This was a really helpful episode! THANKYOU! I resonated with the part about creating clickable content. I started a podcast this fall called Beyond the Veil Podcast and it’s a series topic - death positivity and history, and I struggle to think about the algorithm when I create my content!

I’m a manicurist and I want to make a podcast interviewing/having a conversation with people with valuable messages while I do their nails. The ads would be from nail brands or self help companies, and it would bring traffic to my instagram to look at the nails I did on the guest. What do you think?

Tips on how to get on podcast as a guest? I am a new coach and am trying to find ways to get my name out there. I understand being a guest on podcasts is one good way. I do want a podcast one day but I am just taking it one step at a time trying to be on all these platforms.

I have actually unsubscribed from several pictures podcasts over the years, not because the guests weren't knowledgeable about their topics or due to dirt-poor audio quality (Although I've dropped several shows from my feed for that too!) but because the hosts don't know how to talk! Their speech is peppered with too many UHs, likes, you knows and of course...dead air. People with no training as an actor, in speech or without that natural ability to speak in a way that's charismatic and engaging tend to speak too low, use the same diction they'd use with their friends and don't repeat important info, like the current topic, interviewees' names and areas of expertise, and don't have their research organized and ready to deliver it in a logical and sequential fashion. Your podcast can be conversational but just come prepared with information and everyone who's joining you on the podcast needs to have their own area of expertise. Lastly, and I'm not trying to encourage you to code switch yourself out of sounding like you're from Indiana, Texas, South Bronx or Philadelphia but work on your diction, learn to speak in a way that can be understood by a wide audience and keep the conversation moving forward.

Hey Katie. This was a really helpful video with great suggestions to grow our podcast audience. Since you’re looking for new podcasts to listen to, I’ll “shamelessly” plug mine. PlusOne Podcast. On our podcast we focus on community and culture by sharing unique stories of the backgrounds of our guests and how that has influenced the people they are today. Hope you can take a listen and leave a review while you’re at it. Lastly, thanks for the sponsorship email template. Much appreciated. Keep winning‼️
