Pokemon vs Digimon- You grew up with Digimon and expected this to happen someday. Balrog vs TJ Combo- You either love boxing, or love underdog/redemption stories. Blake vs Mikasa- They're your waifus, and the only thing you hate is that one of them had to die. Madara vs Aizen- You think villains are more interesting than heroes, and you had no issue with Naruto vs Ichigo. Ryuko vs Shadow- You're a Sonic fanboy. Justin Bieber vs Rebecca Black- You haven't mentally aged since 2011. Pikachu vs Blanka- You detest "goofy/cute character beats serious character" matchups. Bowser vs Ganon- You fall for the no-limit fallacy every single time. Thanos vs Darkseid- You're obsessed with the MCU, and care more if a fight looks big than whether it's actually good. Aang vs Ed- You don't care about characters being in character as long as the fight is cool. Batgirl vs Spider Gwen- You saw Nemesis Bloodryche's "200 Marvel vs DC matchups" video and unironically want all of those to become real episodes.

Scrap that Goku vs Superman: You watch death battle for the fun of having all out, over the top, undeniable, unfiltered, indisputable, pure, absolute action packed, testosterone filled, world shatterer, apocalyptic match ups of fucking legends. The whole hype behind it made me a fan of death battle and to this day Goku vs Superman remains as my personal fave of all time, with the sequel living up to the expectations, the hype was real man, best death battle ever.

Cole vs Alex: you advocated for this to win the champions poll, you also probably don't want Kratos vs Asura to happen because you want your match up to be special. Tom vs Wile E (might as well include it since it is a confirmed episode for next season, assuming next season happens of course): you like old school cartoons and wish Death Battle used more of them, you also wish you got to vote for Bugs vs Mickey instead but you'll take what you can get. Venom vs Bane: you love Marvel vs DC and especially Batman characters vs Spider-Man characters, you also think Venom acts like Carnage for some reason. Carnage vs Lucy: you love manga and are happy it finally beat a comic character. Hulk vs Doomsday: you like fights that feel big rather than look big. Luke vs Harry: you really want a remaster. Godzilla vs Gamera: you think legacy trump's all when it comes to what makes a matchup work, you also think Godzilla should only fight kaijus and think Hulk vs Godzilla is the worst matchup ever conceived. Batman vs Iron Man: newer is always better in your mind, also you think this matchup was the best for both. Batman vs Black panther: you think connections are overrated and you really don't like Batman.
