When I watched this the first time, I thought I had accidentally changed the channel mid movie. Like... I checked to make sure the dogs hadn't stepped on the remote. The middle is so different. I agree, though, the beginning is chilling, and I do enjoy how it ends.

I heard that this was originally a short story (being that opening segment) that was then made into a feature length film which does explain why the mid section feels like filler. I did find it quite interesting how the middle of the film almost tries to make you feel sympathy for the antagonist. I had to keep reminding myself of what had happened in the first act. A disjointed film that definitely dragged at times but an interesting idea. Thanks for the video.

I really need to revisit this but I remember the beginning part being extremely tense. I seen the sequel in my teens and that also had a good beginning but then that faltered.

Definately was a inspiration for Scream, its really good. Did you watch the sequel? The version I bought came with the sequel in the special features but it wasn't mentioned on the box so was a nice suprise, think thats the same version you have.

i love the first twenty minutes of this movie but after that is a snoozefest to me the mid section bores only when we get back to jill in the last act. i have always liked the remake from 2006 i know it gets shit but i dont think its nearly as bad as some make out its not a prom night fog black xmas remake . it takes the first twenty minutes of this movie and expands to the whole movie this cat and mouse mgame between jill and the killer which is the only part i like of this concept .

@@BryanLomax its not great dont get me wrong its a soilid enough b movie horror movie but it takes the concept and runs with it where with the 79 movie you could do without the mid section for me it was not needed
