I dont think anyone in the world disagrees, is Superman wanted he could use his x-ray to find bats through a wall and heat vision him if Batman didint know it was coming, but that would be kinda boring so writers are tasked to find more creative ways (which does not work half the time IMO). Suspension of disbelief is a thing that existed for as long as the concept of stories does and it has to be accounted for when writing one.
