He has a crazy reach but he is also REALLY good and REALLY smart too! This is a tough one because he is relentless, comes in hard, and there isn't time to get him off balance. At first, I thought there was time but after watching it a second time, I truly think you did all that you could in that regard. Your footwork works amazingly well against his solid, tree-like rootedness:) Footwork response on your part is off the charts. This is also a perfect video to explain the benefits of committing training time to head movement. You are so surgical, in and out cleanly with speed but there is a lot of self-preservation going on which is something I love to see. It appears that you are both very familiar with how the other moves too. I am impressed as always. This was a tough one but you handled it so well and utilized so much, everything is intelligent and efficient. Rapid adaptation is another thing I love to see and you brought it. I am glad you have this guy, sometimes it is too easy for you haha.

Lethwei is specialized for short kings due to the headbutt which finally gives manlets an advantage vs the talloids, the headbutt has to land in the jaw so if your upper forehead is already by default at that height even better.

Hello Jeff, I hope you're doing great! I actually plan my first vacation to Thailand ==> Phuket (plus some other smaller islands from there). I'm super excited. As someone who loves kickboxing I just cannot imagine doing a vacation in Thailand and A) not watch any muay thai fights in a stadium and B) have some sort of training and maybe even some (hopefully) friendly sparring just to experience/feel from first hand how the Thais are (skill, strength). I know they will ragdoll me (I did 4 years of boxing and kickboxing) but I'm just to curious for the experience. I always see them on youtube, but I want to have a personal impression of how good they are (what does it feel like to be kicked by them, how is their boxing, how nasty is their clinchwork). I guess you understand what I mean. I bet you have some recommendations for both of this? Thank you very much I just thought with your experience from travelling you have some solid tips👍

I got them gorilla arms, I’m not good but sometimes flicking the jab out from that range almost entirely shuts down their offense. If you don’t have the cardio to do what Jeff is suggesting here, walk up to your opponent and rip at whatever you can. You will get hit, and you will have to counter, but this is the only thing that seems to work for old practitioners. If your opponent also has better cardio, then sorry you’re fucked lol Oh if they are taller than you and heavy set so the punches and kicks bounce off. Chop at their damn legs with kicks and don’t stop till they can’t walk. Cause nothing else will work.

@@MMAShreddedIf you wanted to see through my eyes, beeing not stressed would mean to stand firm but relaxed, move in a controlled and balanced manner while keeping eyes open. I recognize that you have lots of unconventional elements in your tool set and i have no insight in your mental mindset. Maybe some of these wide swings and grinded in blind move patterns are on purpose, like for remember them better or performing them more correctly by feeling. To me these things i rather wanted to get rid of them in past , which is incredible uncomfortable. This is cause they leave gaps in technique, which result in lack of reaction time like the missed counter 2 minute 38 or can be weakness prone for exploiting, which ali probably did not do. He himself has this habit, which you could exploit like 2.58, but he seems to recover faster than you.

Ever noticed, that he is looking down at the weight distribution of yours and attacking the slow leg? He just thinks one move ahead. If you stop leaning, that you are doing all the time and is unbalancing you, then his low kicks hitting ya should stop too.Look for example at second 17 or second 14 or 4 minute 49 and then 1 minute 4 where he misses. I can imagine that it hurts, he mostly attacks the weakest spots of the leg. But you had some brilliant moves too, like when you restrained his arm in minute 4 or followed after unbalancing in the same direction that he is unbalanced like 6 minute 41.
