im not sure if tis would work, because i believe that in 10000 years we would have completely messed up the earth and either went extinct or left to some other planet. I'd say probably better to do it in the core of the sun, as it is extremely dense and it would cause a chain reaction that will make the sun basically go boom. which i believe would probably be pretty bad for us on earth, and very instant too.
@RP-163 жыл бұрын
@@saythealphabet776 redirecting anything to the sun is extremely hard. The closer you get the faster you go. Slowing down is the key to crashing in the sun or extreme precision. I guess in 10k years we’d be good enough but redirecting it away from earth is far far far far easier anyway.

"It only goes up to 100 megatons." There is barely any difference between 50 and 100 or even 200 megatons in the first place. The atmospheric pressure can't contain the blast and most of it will just shoot up into the stratosphere, having increasingly diminishing effects on the ground. The difference in devastation between 500 kilotons and 1 megaton is enormous, the difference between 50 megatons and 100 megatons barely registers.

11:00 It's actually a coincidence. The "Slave" people of Canada are sometimes "Slavey", probably to avoid the fact that their name coincidentally looks like the English word "slave". What's not a coincidence, though, is that the word "Slav" sounds like "slave". Most slaves in medieval western Europe were Slavic, and I guess Slavs were most commonly encountered as slaves in England. Thus, the word "Slav" became a general word for slave. At some point the silent must have been added to the end to reperesent the long vowel, which, like all long /a:/ in Middle English, came to sound like /ei/ in Modern English. My brother thinks it's very ironic to read in English one of the earliest writings about the Slavs, which is a Greek writer calling them "a proud people who will never be enslaved".
@FedulAis2 жыл бұрын
Man, don't you think it's a little bit impolite to insert etymology of a word and calling description of people ironic? Like randomly mention that Englishmen despised Irish in earlier times and thought of them as alcoholic bunch. And slavs weren't a majority of slaves in British islands , it wouldn't be possible as local customs also permitted prisoners of war, so majority of enslaved people probably would been from neighboring area, like Saxons enslaving Welsh or vice versa.
@doublxhelix50142 жыл бұрын
Slave Lake is a beautiful lake
@mz009562 жыл бұрын
But how did the english people translate the greek text if the word only came to be afterwards? What was the placeholder word?
@Mr.Nichan2 жыл бұрын
@@FedulAis The etymology itself is rude, but, no, I don't think it's rude to mention it, and it wasn't entirely random either. I saying that, just because the rude thing you might imagine happened (a Native American tribe being literally called "slaves" by English speakers to this day) didn't happen, doesn't mean something else very rude didn't happen with that word, and that even thinking the word "slave" is an insult to call an ethnic group might be seen as an indirect insult to Slavs if you were the kind of person who took etymology way too seriously. Also, the shift in meaning from SLAV (member of the ethnic group) to SLAVE (forced worker) apparently didn't actually happen in English, but rather in Latin or French. English just borrowed the Old French word for SLAVE (which was "sclave" back then). (Gallic Latin, of course, evolved into French, so the line between the two is rather arbitrary, but Wiktionary seems to claim that the shift happened in Latin.)

Based on the number of casualties, It would be Manila with 12M when the 50MT Tsar Bomb is detonated in that area (It doesn't help that 3 of the top 10 most dense cities are basically just next door neighbors of Manila) And with the following fallout, you could theoretically kill millions in Southeast Asia and East asia because of the prevalant wind patterns blowing either towards Japan, Mainland China, or Indochina based on the current season. You can also have the maritime trade routes between East Asia and Europe cripple due to Radioactive fallout so if you want to maximize casualties while crippling the global economy, then a 50MT nuke in Manila would do the trick.
