I don’t know but I suspect that a high meat diet may only be a problem if you do not exert you self daily with lots of physical activity, maybe the vegetarian diet is for those who do very little physical activity like older people.

Its because doctors are just like normal people they stick to their agenda and what they think is right. Very few people or docs for that matter are willing to switch or say they are wrong on things when they are wrong. Plus nutrition is exactly like big pharma crooked if you want to learn more about how crooked there are plenty of documentaries on YT. EAT WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD

Carnivore is excellent for people who cannot tolerate any plant chemicals. They're hypersensitive to lectins and such. If you can tolerate certain foods, go ahead and eat them! But finding out whether you can is often very difficult, and in such cases the carnivore diet serves as a great elimination diet. Go carnivore for a couple months then start adding stuff back in. See how you react. Unless you currently have no health issues-in that case, just avoid having grains and too much sugar and lectins.

Go for wild caught seafood, pasture-raised/grass fed meat that doesn’t fed GMO feeds. Those are not easily obtainable from regular grocery market we go to. I can see how meat sourced from regular grocery market is harmful if regularly consumed, but not so much for the pasture raised/grass fed meat. But of course, if you eat all the fat with too many carbs, then that’s a different story. I think most study about meat/fat is done based on high carb AND high fat which is applicable to most, but not so much on the low carb/keto er.

Yes, great comment. Was going to comment similar. Also many of the carnivore proponents are also using a very high fat ratio in their diet, up to 80% fat, 20% protein. The first person to promote the carnivore diet (late 18th century) lived with the Eskimos and adopted their diet, and stressed the importance of consuming fat with the meat. Interestingly, he also said that organ meats though very high in nutrients were not normally consumed unless meat supply was low, instead fed to the dogs. However their meat sources were pristine, mostly polar bear, seal and fish etc. We in the west would need to adjust to allow for the extremely poor average quality of the meat supply (usually fed bulk mass produced [thus also low nutrient] grain products). I agree, most of the current "research" is tainted with the false assumption that high to extreme volumes of carbohydrate components in the diet are okay and actually healthy. They are blind to and ignoring the huge health dangers of such a diet in the long term, due mostly to the food and drug corporations who spend in the order of 100 billion dollars annually on advertising, promotion, misinformation, propaganda and bribery.

Same here. At 64 I’ve had chronic inflammatory colitis all my life until going mostly keto (doing metabolism confusion) and I’ve lost over 85 lbs! Seafood and fish are the worst for me. After watching Seaspiracy, I threw away ALL seafood. Our ocean is over fished so much that people don’t realize they aren’t eating what they thought they were 😳 Our planet is in trouble! Our beef, chicken, and pork have been altered for more than 30 years. Stopping now won’t help. It’s already changed us at the DNA level. 3 of 5 of my gkids is autistic. The oldest has endometriosis that started at age 2! She’s now 25 and it’s spread into her bowels! We are all affected already. I eat more beef than chicken now (used to eat nothing but) and some pork. I eat healthy fats and avoid lectins. An apple a day keeps the doctor away…still true. Stay healthy 🙏🏼🇺🇸

I quit carnivore/animal diet after one year. I looked thin and shredded but also looked/felt sick as if I aged 10 years during that time. My hair quickly turned grey and receded. I also developed severe heart palpitations that scared the crap out of me. I really enjoyed Paul Saladino's content, but I can't deny that even he looks much older in such a period of time (his face specifically). Also, one screw up on my part was not getting a monthly phlebotomy, which is an important factor that none of the carnivore advocates seem to cover consistently when promoting their carnivore diet.

I drink a lot of clean water, eat OMAD mostly and always including meat, veggies, healthy fats, spices and herbs. Probably too much sugar while snacking occasionally during the day. My energy level at 57 yrs. is off the charts, I am always moving, body weight 160 at 5' 10" tall, BMI about 2%. I never get ill, my brain is in overdrive, I haven't required a doctor's visit since 2001 (dentist certainly more often). My greens are usually wild (dandelions, spring onions, garlic, mustard) and untainted by chemicals. Haven't gained or lost a pound since 1984.

Greetings to you, Doctor, I have an autoimmune disorder. Because of this, I had severe loose motions for three years. At one point, even the medicine stopped working. Then I found your video on KZbin because there is no doctor in Pakistan who deals with keto and carnivore diets. It was a big problem for me. It's been four months now that I am on a keto diet, and the loose motions have stopped. I have also stopped all the medicines. Now, the issue I am facing is that for the past month, I have been experiencing a lack of water in my body, which causes irritation in the stomach, irritable bowel syndrome, stress, and unnecessary tension. I feel the need to go to the toilet, but when I sit, nothing happens. For this, I have to take a water drip and loose motion medicine. Sir, I don't understand where the problem is. My diet: - Daily, two times, red meat, almost totaling half a kilogram. - Lemon water and ginger water daily. - Four eggs daily. - Use of butter, etc. I have been on this diet for four months. In supplements: - Vitamin D3 - Vitamin K2 - Potassium citrate - Magnesium citrate Sir, please help me. I am from Pakistan, and there is no doctor here. There is only one person who promotes or represents your channel on KZbin. I will be waiting for your response. I hope you will reply. JazakAllah ---

Really like Dr. Gundry but yes, I must admit it is getting very confusing..? I have been a meat eater my entire life (and eat my fair share of veggies) and I am thin and healthy at 58. Where as my Gf eats mainly veggies (and some meat) and she is fine too, so maybe it's not a "one size fits all solution..?". But I will say, I fear that Dr. Gundry may have a vested interest in taking this path, that meat is bad. If he didn't have so many products and books he was pushing I might be more inclined to agree or blindly follow, so I do wonder. But like I said, still a fan!

When people say "meat" I say "which meat?" They never even consider that the supermarket meat is highly processed and chemically laden. Grain fed, colour stability, meat glues, vaccines, anti biotics, hormones, barn raised, no sunshine... the list is huge! All this adds up to poor quality meat. Even gundry doesn't distinguish between the 2. Pasture raised makes it better, but can still contain some of the above, especially the display additives and glues. Even the skin on a sausage is terrible on your health, which can be full of pasture raised meat. If you want to consume meat, go to a butcher or farm that is strict with their processes. Know what you eat. Another thing to consider is that fats and high carbs do not occur naturally in a plant or animal product. So combining the 2 into a meal go against what is natural. So combining beans, legumes, grains, fruit, potato etc with meat is unnatural for the body. So yes, meat would get a bad wrap when added to the diet due to most people doing all of the above mentioned. Even gundry considers what we ate 10,000 years ago and it was usually what's available naturally. If you're eating beans with a tonne of olive oil in a stew for example, it is also not natural. When all I have mentioned is considered in a study and still proves meat as a poor diet choice, I'll sit up and listen, but im sure these parameters have not been taken into account, as no one mentions them.

Unfortunately, Dr. Gundry becomes more and more obsessed with the "animal protein" without trying to even distinguish between different sources. For example, sardines ARE the animal protein. The "science" presented here is mostly based on the observational studies that are notoriously very poor quality and on studies performed on animals. There is a significant change in Dr Gundry's tone from just a few years ago. I can no longer follow anything Dr Gundry says, since all this is heavily biased towards veganism, which is great for rich and very well educated people.

@badger6831
@badger6831 2 жыл бұрын
@@ivettesantana4319, please read my comment carefully. The "science" provided here is either the observational studies or studies on animals (we are not pigs and pigs are not supposed to eat meat). The observational studies are very poor quality, because they are based on questionnaires (for example: how many cups of ribs did you eat last year). They are notoriously unreliable and biased (the bun in the hamburger and the fries that come with that hamburger are worse than the patty itself). As for veganism being only for rich, please read Dr. Gundry's books and you will understand that you cannot be healthy by eating beans and rice. Quite the opposite! You need expensive foods (no grains whatsoever), expensive pure virgin olive oil (no seed oils), etc. You also need a very heavy supplementation since the plant foods do not contain many essential nutrients. You need knowledge if you want to stay healthy. In one of his books, Dr. Gundry said that the most sick patients he saw were vegans. In the same book, he mentioned sardines as one of the most important food on the planet. That's why I do not understand his recent crusade against the "animal protein". It really looks like it is based on the ideology, rather than science.

Apes are 4 times stronger than humans and are considered frugavores or herbivores . Gorillas are 10x stronger than humans. We have teeth like Apes. We are closer related to them than any carnivorous animal. That said humans are omnivores, we can eat meat or fruits and plants and be healthy.

I'm gonna change my whole life style. Just to find out 3 years later. Once again, everything I've been eating is poison. Honestly, at this point. This is becoming so confusing and difficult. I might as well just eat the pizza and drink the coke. Everything I do is wrong anyway.

what does Dr Gundry think of organ supplements? There are a couple of debates between Paul Saladino and Dr Gundry. I'm not saying I'm on anyones side but it looked like Dr G lost the debate in my eyes.

The best thing I've ever did in my lifetime for my health was to quit eating meat and dairy 13 years ago.. my cholesterol levels went way down without having to take any kind of medications.. I have a lot more energy and stamina in the gym.. in the last 13 years I felt under the weather maybe two to three times for a day or two ..never get sick anymore.. it's criminal that promote any kind of meat or dairy as being healthy.. people are having heart attacks at a much younger age .

Yes they are but most of these heart attacks are due to having excess sugar in their diets causing high boood glucose levels and insulin resistance, leading to diabetes and obesity.

I'm curious if the dairy products from these animals have the same cancer and insulin risks as the meat itself. Also, I disagree that meat alternatives are healthy only because they are processed. They provide many health benefits and contribute to fewer health risks overall than animal flesh. So yes, not a perfect food but definitely a better alternative to meat.

So much confusing info out here from gurus and doctors. Low carb, keto, plant based.. makes my head spin. Are these all just theories or what? I mean nowadays carbs are the evilest but aren't Japanese people who eat a ton of white rice every for every meal one of the people with the longest life span people in the world? I know they eat sushi but they don't eat that everyday.. it's mostly rice a little meat and veggies, keto gurus nowadays sound convincing and lot of people say they feel better on that diet but I don't want to feel better for a few years then suddenly get a heart attack ya know? Maybe it's better to just have a balanced diet and not too much of one or another see how your body reacts and modify a few things as you go.

Humans have been hunting from the very beginning of evolution and all the modern illnesses you named has only been around for how long? Stable isotope testing can tell you what humans did in fact eat and it turns out we are obligate carnivores.

@mjordan5382
@mjordan5382 Жыл бұрын
@@Cat-wz6eo because the diet wasn't the factor it was infection and environmental hazards also life expectancy is trash... life expectancy ignores all the ppl that did infact live to 100+ also diet diseases ONLY spiked after agriculture.....hopefully this answers your question.

Hes talking about how a pig lives 50% longer if you take out a part of their diet.... well if that worked for humans would veg only eaters not live till like 150+ years? Dude has so many holes in this that even my dumb armchair nutrition knowledge can throw holes in it. Imagine if he actually debated a doctor that is not so uhhh mainstream so to speak.

The only issue there is the potatoes are very high in lectins. So are peppers, so depending on the type of spice, that could also be an issue. Don't worry if you're having them once in a while, just don't make it regular!

Re=Eating Animal fats...t's forbidden in Leviticus, by Lord Gods ELOHIM (plural Gods), thus the Holy Trinity...the Plant=based diet our Creation + Brain Diet is in Genesis 1:29-31, suggested in Isaiah 11th chapter, repeated in Isaiah 65:25, and summarized in Revelaiton 22:2. The Great Flood of approx. 5.000+ years ago took all the minerals, fats/oils and salinity out of our soils and into the Oceans, thus things changed quite a bit~ even all the Animals were created Vegan. IF you stopped accumulating Candida albicans WAX from a Meat-Dairy+Egg products, on the inside of our body these Lectins that you talk so much about WOULD NOT be a PROBLEM ONE BIT~
