My strategy is to swing trade on good low prices. If the trade didnt go my way, I can hold the stock for few weeks or months till it bounce.

I agree. If Warren Buffett was as successful a trader as investor he’d be a trillionaire. The idea that a successful investor earning 10-20%\yr outperforms a successful trader earning 10-20%+/trade is mathematically ludicrous.

Bruce kovner and Paul Tudor and George soros are trend following billionaires

Yes you got it but as well for those less experienced I think it's important to remind that for every successful trend trader there are many unsuccessful trend traders. Like I say I understand the saliency of your point but at the same time investors for long term in 3-5 years majority of companies will have improved if you're not trading penny stock companies, whereas trend trading if you are successful like you said of course you outperform but if you don't perform you're gonna be losing money more easily especially when you factor in emotion and lack of discipline that comes along with that as Mark mentioned. So just as it's more likely to make more money as a trend trader as compared to an investor it's also more likely to be unsuccessful in trend trading and lose money after 3-5 years as compared to an investor.

Warren is a successful options trader. The problem for big fish like that is liquidity. At a certain point you have so much money that when you make an offer you don't get filled and drive the market against yourself. The more money you have, the longer your event horizon needs to be for you to build successful positions. I doubt either of us peasants will ever have this problem.

Hopefully a Trend Trader. Otherwise what are we all wasting our time for? Better to plonk our money in an Index Fund & go play Candy Crush instead.

Hi Mark. I love tour vids as always. What are you looking for when trying to find a trend om a Daily chart? What things do you need to see in on the Daily in order to classify it as a trend And what do you look at for when the trend is broken?

Best investing educator on the interwebs. I know ur a busy man, I asked this b4 but can u do a vid on price manipulation and pump and dumps? How do big players do it? Do they take a loss on it? How do you spot it? What about stop loss hunting? Thanks and cheers.

I'm forwarding this to Mark - if you can be a little more specific it can help. Price manipulation and pump and dumps by whom in particular?

I think a mix of the two is ideal (well for me at least) - I daytrade forex currencies during the London session then after i spent hours researching stocks to find the one to grab for the Long Term - let me know your opinion please

Can you do a video on automated spread betting? Does that exist? For instance, if I want to write an algorithm to enter, exit and control my stop loss automatically. That way I don't need to take the trades manually.

Yes, that's what expert advisors do with MetaTrader 4 which is why MT4 is still so popular. Very few providers support spread betting on MT4 though.

Warren Buffett is not a passive investor getting 7% a year. Warren Buffett is an active long-term investor. He's one of the richest people in the world. Any trader in the list of richest 10 people in the world?

yeah, all good. but 10 minutes, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly trends? my experience in over 20 years of trading is that if one has a capital below £50k it is hard to trade. why? because one can hardly ride out if things turn against you. stop loss is ok but if one gets stopped out constantly due to fear of losing, then the losses will still add up. retail traders have small capital at their disposal unlike the prop desks of goldman sucks boys and girls
