Great video! Say you were to keep a camera for 5 years or maybe longer. Would you go the a7iii with the newer autofocus system or the a7riii with more MP? Btw I do events/weddings mostly.

Which one would you go for for Street Photography ? The silent mode is what is what really attracts me to the A9. I intend to get it with the Batis 40mm lens. I feel that combination would be best for my needs. I'm not into zoom lenses and silent would work perfectly. I'm not into cropping, so I'm not into getting a high Megapixel image and crop it, that to me is not photography as I prefer to practice it (I like to compose my image in the viewfinder). So, A9 for Street Photography ?

As always great video. So for me...is the auto focus actually better on the a7siii? Or just more screen coverage. I know there are more autofocus points...did that translate to better autofocus in the real world? I have the riii...but need a second body. My preference would be 2 bodies and menus exactly the same. Thanks rp

I currently have an A7R2. What should you do? Sell it at an immensive loss and buy the A7R3? Or keep it and buy an A73 to supplement it? In that way I’ll keep my 42mp for landscapes and have a nicer body for general photography... I am not sure on how many times I will be really using the A7R2 after that though... any thoughts or experiences from others?

I am thinking on A7RII or A7RIII because I could use the 24-240 as a walk around lens for holidays pics and to get further reach I could use the crop mode. I could get an A7RII used for £1500 or A7RIII for £3200 new. Is the A7RIII worth that much more?

All I look for is the crop-in comparison between 3 camera when shooting video, no one talks about it, please make a vid comparison. I know the A7sii crop-in insanely when shooting 120p at 1080p to the point that it’s unusable imo

A7III silent shutter is not ideal. Maybe recommend the A9 for weddings instead as the silent shutter is a huge deal there.

I shoot with Nikon D500& D750. Thinking of moving to sony. Shoot sports and lifestyle along with video. I'm wanting to improve video especially the focus. I'm thinking of the A7R 3 more especially as £500 extra over the A73. What's your advice ? Many thanks

I have just swapped my D500 system and EM1 mark II system for an A7III + Sony 100 - 400mm f4.5/5.6 + Sony 90mm macro and a second hand Sony 28 - 70mm kit lens (I will only use this lens a few times a year). Brilliant though the D500 and EM1 mark II are, after only 10 days I prefer my A7III. I photograph wildlife almost exclusively and the quality of the images is fabulous. Low light performance, dynamic range and autofocus are really something. Had I not needed a new central heating boiler I would have chosen a Sony A9; but since purchasing my A7III I've changed my mind. This camera will do me nicely and I have no regrets.

I think that's where Canon got things right... 30 MP is really a good sweet spot for camera resolution (not to mention the raws are lossless compressed). sRaw and mRaw are fantastic too. I'd love the A7III, but 24 MP is a downgrade from my 5D. Otherwise, the A7III is a near perfect camera, especially for the price.

The A9 is $4199 USD list price these days. Sony lowered the price on several cameras after the A7 III came out. The original a7 is $799 list now. I cannot wait for sale prices on that one. The A7SII is $2199 list, A7RII is $1999 list, the A6500 is $1099 list price...

As an owner of Sony's from the a6000, to the a7s, a7sII, a6300, a6500, and now the a7rIII (also the RX100IV, RX100V), the a7rIII is the pinnacle of mirrorless tech for those who need to do it all. Top of the line photography, with excellent video features. Can't wait for the a7SIII to drop so I can really see where mirrorless video is heading with Sony.

I need your help people! In my country the a7R iii is around $3,400 and the a7 iii is around $3,000!! So of course when you se the price of the a7 iii you really want to give a bit more and get the a7r iii. The point here is which one is better? Great video, I got the A9 , my main direction is nature, in this respect I miss the 7RII which I had priviously. I liked the 42 M since you can crop a 500mm easy to 800mm and saving you the expense of that lens. I sold my RII for a better auto focus but I will go for the R III. But I will keep the A9.Presently I use a Canon 500mmf4II with a metabones. Thanks for your videos. Dieter
