That dog park has the most perceptive people I've ever seen in one. Most are on their phone or talking, not paying attention

I have 3 dogs and have Garmin TT15 GPS colors on all of them when I go out in the woods so they can have fun exploring, so I can see where they are on the Garmin Alpha 100 hand held. Today I almost had my world end. It started raining so hard here in the woods in Floids so I called the dogs, 2 came as they could hear me and the female that did not come but she is so smart that I was not worried even, when she did not come, so I put my truck in 4x4 to get turned around as it became so muddy, and then I got stuck and mire time passed than I thought. By the time I started driving my girl Coffee had run over a mile towards the main road as it was raining, she lost her direction and went the opposite way of where I parked. I was now driving and swirving in the mud at full speed looking at the gps as I could see where she was running at as I was in desperation to get to her before she got hit by a car. By the time I made it to the main road where she was cars were zipping by her by only feet as she was walking on the side of the road. She is all black and the sun is now set and raining. I pulled over almost causing an accident and ran out and lifted her in my arms. I have been in shock for the past 3 hours. If I had lost her my world would have ended. Lessons learned: 1) If I had not had the Garmin gps collar on her, I would have never known nor believed that she would have gone in the wrong direction and traveledthat far. So, without the gps collar she would have likely been killed right now. 2) I could not communicate with her to let her know where I was as I walked to the truckdown the back roads trail. So, I went and bought whistles. I can not reccomend this video and others like it enough. I have been doing this training for 10 minutes and they are already understanding to come to me. Then I was in the other room listening to it and when the man blew his whistle they came running. A GPS collar is great as you get to know where your dog is. But it does not allow you to get a high pitch tone out to communicate with your dog. Please learn from my horrible experience today with Coffee, so you are never in the same situation and not able to communicate with your dog, to let her know where you are. Very respectfully, Erik Petroni Neverquitnever.com

Ok, I see the point against dog parks, but what other option do you suggest to socialize dogs and let them play with other dogs instead of never playing off-leash and avoid socialization, I have seen that avoiding dogs makes a dog aggressive toward dogs, meanwhile dogs that frequently go to dog parks are more sociable. Of course, there is the problem of ignorant owners, but what else do you suggest.

I train recall by whistling with my lips... the key is no repeating command as backgound noise like the first part of this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJOuhn9ne7afqtU Later I teach a silent recall...if I stop, my lab checks in: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGHIaWCvmbSSY6s I like to hunt uplands as silently as possible...especially on late season wild birds!
