Fear and death come well hand in hand sometimes. However, this version of Death isn't evil. It's a bored and sad entity which loathes a disregard for a life. It cherishes it and punishes those who throw it away willingly or not. It always wins, but it is almost always bored. On the other hand Pitch at weakest remains a boo story for little kids and at strongest may turn the whole world's dreams into nightmares. And he may interfere with physical world to a devastating effect, at slightest he extinguishes light and at hardest extinguishes stars. Death always wins, but he isn't very happy with his job. Pitch may be much more influential, he rises and falls. These two are both winners and losers.

I am not trying to say who is the winner,but please allow me say something: You can learn from your fears but you can not learn from your death,since you no longer have a life then to move on. On the other hand, someone else's fears will not open your eyes until you yourself experience it.But someone else's death can teach you to be careful of the things they did which caused their death, without you dying. Fear is more influential and hazardous as it can traumatize you to the limit without killing you,the literal definition of torture,which in my opinion is a ''smart" attack,whereas death can only defeat you once and once you die,death ca't come to you again. However,that one blow of death is also enough to send you to a place where even fear can't touch you. So death's attack is straight forward and does not include any deceptions or myths( not a "smart" attack) I don't want to overrate anyone,that is why l said points in favour of both as both are facts of life and we can't say one is better than the other.
