Air in coolant system will even cause idling issues. Found out the hard way on 1999 Honda Accord after replacing radiator. I forgot that coolant travels thru idle air control valve which communicates with PCM. Great video

Just got a 95 Chevy G20, previous owner said recent water pump, head gasket, radiator. Running just fine, but coolant looked nasty. I drained the coolant with a bunch of rusty stuff. So I ran a coolant flush through for 3 hours and everything was fine. Drained that. Flushed several more times with distilled water. Rubber gasket looked worn so I changed the thermostat and new gasket, sealed that, filled with coolant. I tried burping again just like before, but now the upper radiator hose doesn't get hot like it did during the 3 hour flush, like it's not cycling coolant and in 10 mins running, the temp starts rising. I'd really appreicate any input!

You definitely have air trapped in the system , try loosening the clamp on the upper radiator hose until coolant comes out but be careful not to burn yourself. Air is trapped in the system. Sometimes letting the engine cool down it will suck in more coolant and self bleed itself.

This is a year old video and you just responded within 30 minutes? Holy cow man. I am so very grateful! I'm letting it cool again now and I will certainly try that. After the first time I let it cool, I fired it back up, it didn't bubble really but it continued to steadily push a bunch of coolant up out of the radiator. So I came in and watched your video! I really appreciate you sir. You're definitely getting a sub!

I have a 2006 volvo xc90 what could be the problem with it running hot only when it fills like it it has new water pump new radiator new thermostat and new thermostat sensor I can let it Idle it the drive way for over 30 minutes and it doesn't run hot then all of a sudden it starts to run hot and I don't have any Coolet links anywhere and the coolet level is always at the normal range and the fan kicks on ????????????

Bad or going bad head gasket would be my guess.

It can be leaking into the combustion chamber ( cylinder )

If you followed my video then could be the radiator cap or radiator itself or a blown head gasket
@WhoDibbles3 ай бұрын
Radiator cap trust bro trust could have the wrong one on and could be pushing air in your system

Did you replace the radiator cap? Also could be a bad head gasket. Try this. With engine overnight cold squeeze top radiator hose to feel how hard it is, then start vehicle and in about 5 minutes squeeze it again, should be about the same hardness, if not air is pumping up coolant system because of a blown head gasket.
@Josh452632 ай бұрын
@@motorcarnutso if after 5 min it feels harder then before it’s the head gasket?
