It's much harder to send something into the sun than throwing something outside solor system. Also throwing fingers in space also not a good choices because everything you lunch from earth to space will sooner or later will comeback after completing it's orbit.

All Gojo needs to do to send something to the sun is to launch it in the sun's direction until it exits the gravitational field of earth, while making sure that it's not gonna be pulled in by the gravitational field of other celestial bodies along the way. Once that's done, the item in question would drift it's way towards the sun until it get pulled by the sun's gravity and stays there. The hard part is calculating the trajectory so it doesn't end up where it isn't intended, and there are experts for that.

If you take blue and red at their actual face values, where one represents the literal infinite lack of space (negative infinity) so everything is pulled in towards it to fill that empty space, and one represents an infinite amount of space in a finite area, so it expands rapidly pushing matter, and frankly existence itself, away. With purple, it both stretches reality inward to fill the space and pushes it outwards. Its both positive and negative infinity united, which essentially equals zero. This zero represents a 'nothingness' in reality, and anything that is hit by purple just disappears. It doesn't blow up anything, it just puts a hole through it.

The actual way it's described as "imaginary mass" when an impossibility is created between blue and red 2. This does raise a good question: could Angel's curse technique make the fingers vulnerable to destruction? While we've never SEEN her negate a Binding Vow, all other forms of Jujutsu are vulnerable to her technique, from barriers to cursed objects, even ones as powerful as the Prison Realm, which is one of the most powerful cursed objects we've ever seen. So if she were to be hitting the fingers with Jacob's Ladder, for instance, would they then be vulnerable to destruction? Of course, Angel wasn't available until the Culling Games happened, and her Cursed Technique is explicitly extremely rare, so it wasn't an option for destroying the fingers beforehand, but it's an interesting thought experiment to imagine if Technique Erasure could have made it possible to destroy them.

They do, indeed, have the very cursed technique Sukuna used to incarnate. Moreover, if there wasn't any cursed tenchique in those fingers, then they wouldn't be indestructible as Gojo tried to destroy them (for we saw Playful Cloud being sharpened by Toji, which suggests that it can be broken as well, thus being destroyed)

I’d say that since it’s cursed energy, which takes a lot of stuff from nen, hollow purple can erase things since it has outputs. Not everything can be turned to ash but instead just heated up. Maybe the more output, the more erasure(amount of object wise) or it’s a durability situation. Cause cursed energy does involve equivalent exchange to some extent, so it does make sense for something that can erase things to have outputs.

A plothole is something in your story that doesn't make sense, basically an inconsistency in the narrative that breaks reader/viewer immersion when noticed. Gojo being able to permanently remove the fingers from human accessibility is definitely that because we all know he's smart and would do that if he could and there's no reason to think he couldn't do that, therefore it's immersion breaking that he never did. He could've at least done that with the fingers they had. It's true he probably couldn't find the other fingers since he says Yuji became their radar to find them, but this is Gojo we're talking about. I think it's narratively realistic to believe that, if he really wanted to, he could find all the fingers and get rid of them himself. He didn't know Yuji was going to show up, so why didn't he do that way earlier, or at least attempt it? He has both the power and motive to do it, i think it makes sense, unless he was just so cocky to think they weren't enough of a threat for him to care about.

I doubt since i dont think red is powerful enough to send something to space and i doubt they would spend a lot of money to get the proper equipment to do that (considering they only had a few fingers thereforr they would need tp do it multiple times) There is also risks, do you really think they would just tell Gojo "hey use the strongest red you can do and send this space" without having any way of knowing if it actually worked? He did wipe out angels clan who should be more willing to jump Sukuna’s, and most likely use a group maximum Jacob’s ladder unless that ability is rare in the clan, idk I doubt it since Sukuna made them extinct. There's actually been debates every once in a while in the discord about just how Hollow Purple works. So far, the ones that I can remember are: simply deletes matter (imaginary mass), the mixing of convergence and divergence causes something like spagghettification, tearing apart matter atom by atom (so if you have durability at an atomic level you can tank it), and maybe some others. Generally, the way purple works doesn't matter because it's not at all based on real existing physics that we can understand, so it's mostly just Gege being like "I wanna give Gojo a big death laser" and then doing that, and then figuring out how it works as he goes.

TLDR/Spoiler Warning: Sukuna's soul reinforces the fingers too. As far as my understanding goes, the finger's durability is a mix of two things. The first is the binding vow mentioned in this video, rendering them almost completely unbreakable to any form of damage. However I believe even if that was the case Cursed Techniques such as Purple or even Jacob's Ladder should be able to destroy them, however I personally think that the second form of protection involved is Sukuna's soul. It's been talked about how essentially no sorcerers can damage souls, even Gojo. These fingers, comprising entirely of Sukuna's split soul are immune to ANY damage short of, idfk Gege.

I feel like hollow purple does just erase everything tho. Gojo’s technique is all about bringing concepts into reality. For example, limitless is able to manifest the concept of infinity and apply it to the space around him. And purple is able to combine infinite attraction and infinite repulsion to make an imaginary mass that kinda just negs anything it touches. The issue with these imaginary concepts tho is that they require cursed energy to function. So using cursed energy to defend yourself can negate some of these properties to where, like it said, purple does just turn into a strong blast. But for anything purple has been able to overpower it quite literally just erases it

Hollow Purple was already explained in the manga, and jesus did you get it wrong. It combines negative and positive infinities, creating a ball of imaginary mass, which, whenever it touches something, applies Hollow Purple's concept of "imaginary mass" onto it, which the instantly ceases to exist. The reason it wouldn't work on Sukuna's fingers isn't a lack of power, but the way cursed energy works. Even the most powerful cursed technique can be cancelled because it is still a cursed technique. TL;DR, Hollow Purple is still cursed enrrgy, so Sukuna's fingers can not tank it, but ignore it.

I like to interpret the creation of purple as the actual result of what it does, by combining a crushing/pulling force from blue and the explosive/pushing force of red to make a ball the just contorts and distorts something apart, atomizing stuff. Like it gets vibrated into dust effectively. Thus you can increase that force and do stuff like 100% purple

I'm not gonna claim that Gojo can purple the fingers nor am I gonna claim it just deletes things, but I will say that cursed energy output absolutely would matter for hollow purple if it did delete things it touched, not because of the power, since as you said if it deletes everything it touches no power output changes that, but it's simply the size. More output = more size, in a fight that would definitely matter. But against the fingers yeah it wouldn't. As for whether hollow purple is a delete button, could argue that with enough cursed energy you could block it somehow, and with a binding vow strong enough it could just ignore the effect of destroying anything it touches. All I really know about it is the fact that it's called an imaginary mass, and that it's the combination of both the push and pull force of infinity, making it real wonky in how it would work. Imagine being pulled apart and crushed at the same time.

Some people claiming they should have thrown the finger in sun: It's much harder to send something into the sun than throwing something outside solor system. If Gojo throws the fingers with Mach 200 then the fignger would reach sun I will 19 year. Anything below Mach 100 won't ever reach sun. Then throw them in space? I think the answer to why Gojo didn't seek out solutions to the Sukuna problem is simple. He believes whole heartedly that Yuji will over come this curse and bring about a change society clearly needs so history isn't set to repeat over and over. That's the obvious under lying story I think. Kashimo stood as an example of the fact that Gojo's struggle has repeated throughout the eras and will continue to do so, but he already knew that. He might also know Yuji is destined to cage Sukuna for good somehow and to do that he needs to be whole.

Jacob’s latter and hollow purple both failed on sukuna twice which are supposed to be guaranteed kill shots. Hollow purple is matter erasure. There is something else at play, I wonder if those techniques didn’t work because sukuna is the origin of cursed energy. Similarly to how gojo wasn’t affected that much by his own purple, these attacks don’t hurt sukuna as they should because the cursed energy from them is derived from himself.

One downside of this plan is if the fingers arent in deep enough space, curses will gather around it bond with all the fingers and create a sukuna level curse threat that will fly back to earth.

The way Hollow Purple works is by simultaneously pulling things apart and crashing them together at an atomic level. My headcanonn on why it won't work on the fingers is because since it is indestructible, it can't be pulled apart, nor can it collapse inwards on itself.

HxH vows are like promises, while self vows in JJK are trades. You need to give/lose something, in exchange for some sort of benifit. Vows with other people work differently, so i'm not going to talk about that.

fair point but the fact that purple has differnt outpu levels doesn't discredit the idea that it deletes mass. different output could simply change it's size speed and time to live. (a 1% hollow purple is like flicking a marble that deletes everything it touches and lasts for 3 seconds while a 200% hollow purple is the size of a truck, flies at mach 2 and can go for miles)
