Besides not having a next gen update, simple things like what they did to John’s character model and clothing for the epilogue are still a problem and should be easily fixable. I love GTA5 when it came out and played the shit out of the online, it ended up not being for me after a while and I think that games flaws only show because, well, it’s a fucking PS3 game, it’s outdated for the new gaming standards ( which that alone shows how bullshit this whole convo is ). And then we Have RDR2, which blew most people away, and even someone that doesn’t like it has to appreciate the work and craftsmanship behind that game. Thats the level of quality to expect. My take is that Rockstar realized how GTA V in itself kind of encompasses all of it's smaller titles into one. You don't need to release a new Midnight Club LA, when GTA Online and it's racing missions, can give you the same exact experience. Bully kind of gives me a "GTA RP" vibe, but with it's main story line being based in a university. Multiplayer mods like FiveM can be developed to give you that same experience. There's just no longer a need for all of these unique titles, when GTA V in itself is such a modular game that can be adapted to provide all of these other experiences that the different titles used to give you.

GTA Online obviously plays a part in it however people have also forgotten was the Rockstar San Diego drama. Rockstar San Diego was working on both RDR1 and Midnight Club Los Angeles. They were overworked and had unhealthy crunch times. (Especially during RDR1) After Midnight Los Angeles released, many either were fired and quit. In 2010, Wives sent a complaint letter to rockstar about the massive issues in the studio. In response rockstar went for a more quality over quantity approach and made all the studios work together hence why GTA V credits most of the rockstar studios compared to GTA 4 that credits only Rockstar North.

Yeah, It's pretty crazy how great it has held up visually. As far as graphics go: RDR2 TLOU2 GOT Alan Wake 2 Horizon Forbidden West Metroid Prime Remastered GoW: Ragnarok Kingdom Hearts 3 Uncharted 4 FF7 Rebirth Demon's Souls Remake Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Those are probably the best looking games I have played over the past decade tbh. As far as realistic graphical quality, I think it's between TLOU2 and Alan Wake 2 as the most impressive. But when taking art direction into account along with the graphics, It's pretty hard to choose. Visually, I'd say Ghost is probably the prettiest game I've played tbh. In terms of the actual games themselves, RDR2 is still hands down one of my favorite experiences ever, Def in my top 10, But Metroid Prime is still to this day my favorite video game of all time.

Simple the games like GTA V and red dead 2 dont come out every week or year they take time to make and we’ve already seen what happens when you rush out a game like in cyberpunk 2077s launch Technology is improving and that means games will take longer as there’s more to do and add in. GTA Online money allowed them to take their time with games to ensure they last a decade or more as well. GTA 5 and RDR 2 still selling million+ copies every year thats insane. At this point in gaming there is not many devs pushing the consoles to their limit Rockstar fills that gap as well sometimes better than Sony or Xbox themselves. Rockstar has become the goal other devs would like to reach there is no one else in the industry willing to put 500+ million into a game(I guess CDPR did it with Cyberpunk 2077 after all the fixes and expansion). Rockstar pretty much got the whole gaming industry waiting on them.

I'm personally fine with the long wait for GTA 6 because I want GTA 6 to release as a complete game and not a complete glitchy mess. They can take their time and hopefully ignore the people pressuring them to release GTA 6 too early when it ain't ready yet. I want perferction. I think that they at least could give us PS5 remastered versions of RDR1 & 2. Naughty Dog is not the fastest game developer either, but at least they have done that. I would love to experience RDR1 in 4K. It doesn't feel like a super hard thing to do for a company like Rockstar.

@@ashleythomas4112 That is true game developing has become so much more advanced now, you can't just make a red dead redemption 2 quality game every year, it took them 6 years I believe since before gta V got released, same case with GTA V, If rockstar decides to make games more frequently, they won't be able to break boundaries in the gaming industry and deliver amazing stories with amazing visuals. All of this is being done with an in house engine that has to also be tweaked by Rockstar to bring even more amazing visuals as you have seen in the trailer for GTA VI. I can't imagine gaming without rockstar so I'm glad that they've remained true to themselves to deliver a fully completed product.

It created thousands of youtubers and Twitch streamers at the time. Some youtubers have gone very successful. Some have gone to do other things. When gta 6 comes, the same effect is going to happen where there will be new youtubers and Twitch streamers. However, this time, along with old youtubers, will play this game. It is going to have a close 1 trillion views on youtube in its first week. I would like you to make a documentary type video on it if you could please, as I think it needs it, and no one has touched on this topic, I don't think.

If they actually remade their games themselves instead of putting other studios no one has ever heard of on to the games they would sell so much more than they did years ago especially games like Bully, Manhunt, The Warriors or even LCS, VCS I only heard of bully through a friend in school an by this time I didn’t have a ps2 I was on X360 at the time an normally I knew of rockstar release but not this one an the same goes for LCS, VCS didn’t know of em till a mate told me an I got myself a ps2 specifically for bully, still ain’t played LCS or VCS til this day though. Or even if they stopped making the maps more big & bigger each time I dunno, I mean surely Manhunt 3 won’t go a miss or a warriors remake because they’re much smaller games
