NBC executives had asked her to take a pay cut and she refused to take it. She was making like $20 million a year and the NBC executives couldn’t justify that anymore. She should just leave the network altogether because NBC is getting to be more and more ridiculous all the time. NBC no longer cares about the viewers. It’s all about those ratings anymore. What a disgrace what NBC has now become. NBC has now become the new ABC. We need to just get rid of them because they are now considered dead weight to us on the network.

The tearful announcement of it all is what’s throwing me off about it,it’s almost like she’s being pushed into this rather than it being her choice. The last real tearful goodbye like that was Ann Curry & we all know that wasn’t her choice,she was forced into it and she also had the tearful goodbye at just about the same time of day on the program. I hope she really did decide that she just wanted to take a step back and spend more time with her kids, today was just weird for me. I think they should consider bringing Willie Geist back to Today as the M-F 7-10 anchor and have the Saturday Today anchor’s also do Sunday. I think Sheinelle Jones should be tapped to keep her current coanchor spot on the 3rd hour of Today but also stay to cohost the 4th hour with Jenna,she is light and bubbly & good with doing the entertainment/ fluff pieces,she’s happy & full of energy & that’s a great thing for the less news worthy hours where people just want to be entertained by the host,she does that well.

Nice. Can't say i am tearing up at Hoda's decision to separate from NBC/ anchor job. Totally overpaid. Sorry to say, but good riddance. Found some of HK's comments mean & her fake laugh intolerable. No worries Hoda fans. SHE will do well with her podcast & other gigs with nbc. The hypocritical goodbyes r quite nauseating considering HK will get paid to do very little like GS on another network.
