@@shownemoto While I’m very happy to have listened to your story in this vid, I wish you or someone would tell specifically what alcohol does/how it affects the law of attraction and you when you try to manifest. You slightly hit upon it brings your vibe down and it can affect neuroplasticity, but, again, learning indefinitely what it specifically does and how ALL is affected in terms of the law’s & manifestation would be an absolute eye opener, as well as an incentive, for most! Thanx again for your story!🤘

I am a natural sober. I don't like alcohol, it doesn't make me any funnier, smarter, freer or anything. My problem is: I can't stand drunk people, their silly talks, their embarrassment...i just feel second hand embarrassment. Soooo...i stay away from alcohol parties and i join sober activities 🤩

I drank only once, since the new year. And I've tried still going to live gigs and evening events while being sober, and damn - sometimes it doesn't even look like the drunk people are having fun. They are just drunk. I had the bad habit of partying way too hard with some friends throughout my early 20s and honestly, it doesn't deepen any connections. It's not driving any of my passions. It's just breaking all the good habits I developed in the week. And it's true, it really makes one rely on alcohol to relax and be funny/ interesting, when we could all be developing those skills without the dependancy.

My story: I was a binge drinker for 50 years. How did I stop drinking so easily? I skipped the counseling and anonymous platitudes. I went to my doctor. He gave me a choice of two remedies. The monthly injection of Vivitrol or the daily 50mg tablet of naltrexone. I took the tablets for 30 days to detox and almost immediately lost the cravings for alcohol. Losing the cravings was as easy as taking Motrin for muscle aches. Mark me safe from alcohol.

Love you brother Sho! I'm 26 and I come from the punk rock and metal scene - victory and defeat both leave you with the same hangover. It starts with the party, always. But after a while we have to be honest, this is not a party anymore... borrowing courage, for what? Girl #406 this week? Or fighting people you won't remember for ego bullshit? I don't want the devil to drive me, I want to drive me. This is how the 'party demon' loses his horns. To enjoy your present, you must sacrifice your past. To enjoy your future, you must sacrifice your present. One life, go get your fucking dreams guys.

i have never understood the party and drinking scene that is something i never could enjoy, its meaningless. I would rather be in solitude than surrounded by a whole bunch of drunk strangers. The way I see it, when people go way too often, it’s because they’re using a short term fix to a long term problem. And you know it’s that because when you ask these people, they don’t even really know why they party. Be proud of yourself that you have self discipline!! You dont need to drink to have fun!!!! in our modern society having a completely open mind is frowned upon. We are programmed from birth to follow the flock; do as we’re told.

May 5th two years ago I quit drinking,i was a full blown alcoholic, there was rarely a time i wasn't drinking, i slept with a bottle in bed with me, I got into a legal situation involving a gun and went to jail where I went through the worst experience of my life alone in a metal cell surviving DT's, full on mental break, visual and auditory hallucinations and was completely convinced i was going to die, I was terrified beyond anything I've ever experienced in my life. Short story long i haven't touched a drop since and it's been the best thing that's ever happened to me, it was going to kill me and now my life has so much more meaning, liquor will ruin your life, and if anyone takes the time to read this and you don't believe me you're lying to yourself and that's the power of alcohol, denial becomes a phantom way of believing, do your life a solid favor and give it up forever, you'll thank yourself later 🙏

[Disclaimer, my comment is a bit long lol]: I love how at the beginning of the video you really emphasised that alcohol is sabotaging you from being who you are. It really is! Tbh, whether it's alcohol, caffeine, drugs etc, any addiction that we let overpower our lives is just a limitation on its own. Might be silly, but there was a time where I was super addicted to chocolate and sweets, like I couldn't do, or have conversations without eating anything sugary. It became so bad that I'd just have negative moods and criticise everything if I wasn't eating sweets. I stopped eating them in excess though, the first 3 months were so difficult because I completely took them out of my diet and started Pilates. I was miserable, but as time went on I believed that I should be the change I want to see, because nothing will ever change if I don't change. It also helped that physically getting some exercise was helping me. It was therapy! Now I only eat sweets maybe 1-2 times a week in moderation, and really physically and mentally I became so much better. As for alcohol, I barely drink, and I'm not embarrassed to have a good time without it, I always do anyway! But now I'm so proud of myself that I can have a good time without sugar too, I've came a long way from miserable tears without it, to tears of joy without it. To anyone battling an addiction, just remember you HAVE TO BE the change you want to see, it's difficult, but not impossible. One step at a time. Really enjoying this movie that SHOW calls life haha! Thank you Show, I always learn so much from you. Keep changing the world ! 🌼✨

I hear you on alcohol being a worse poison than caffeine, but chocolate and coffee are both strong psychoactive stimulants. Chocolate is a stronger stimulant than most people realize, if if it's dark enough. After I quit alcohol years ago, I slowly realized that I preferred to always just feel centered - so I stopped chocolate (not more than 1 bite) and coffee. Not feeling up with caffeine or down with alcohol is a great feeling. Being grounded and centered all the time is power.

The longest I quit for was 5 years. Then I started after that and quickly found myself in a dark place again.. over the last six or seven years I've done this like three or four times and always the same result. I finally decided at the beginning of this year to give myself a year of sobriety.. I hope this time I never go back. If you're thinking about stopping I know you said this about 6 months ago I hope that you quit.. if not I'm here to tell you it's the greatest thing and you know know it 🙏😉

In this video you speak out the thoughts I have right now. I decided to quit Niccotine 154 days ago, and 7 days ago I quit drinking alcohol. I'm currently working on getting enough quality sleep and to achieve my goals as an actor. I don't see myself drinking alcohol for atleast 6 months, but I probably won't drink after that either. I want to be true to myself. I'm a highly charismatic person on the inside, but I have some work to do to be able to be that guy everywhere I go (without alcohol). I'm healing my own "trauma" everyday, and quitting alcohol seems to be the right decision for me right now. Thank you for sharing your story and knowledge, it's inspiring. Have a great day man!

I have to take care of myself in new way , i deserve it and all my loved ones deserve to feel tranquill about me. I know its going ti requiem a lot of mental strengh and sacrifice and It all wild come with some hard truth, but It Will be the point where I'll make the real change . Happiness Is on the other side of fear and you must be brave enough to Jump . For how long are you going to keep accepting the shame and the numbness before the pain caused by It forces you to change ?

I am 22. I was drinking alcohol because it made me feel more confident and fun. Or just sometimes relax and escape from reality. Moreover, I never knew my measure, after 2-3 drinks I always continued to drink more. That's why I had a severe hangover and after every party I promised myself that I wouldn't be there again, and so it went on and on. But over the last year, the situation worsened: I started doing things that I never expected from myself. Self-blame. This is the worst. Therefore, the situations went so far that I began to fear even being in this state again. 1. Microdosing of fly agaric helped me. Soon it will be like a year that I drink it (with breaks) and it helped me a lot to quit bad habits. Now I can still drink alcohol sometimes, but I don't go beyond 2 drinks. I never propose first anyone to go to the bar like before. And what's interesting is that I don't like this state anymore. It's even scary to get drunk again. 2. I started meditating 2 months ago. I began to listen to myself. I am also on the way to forgiving myself. I was just listening to your meditation today. Thank you very much. 3. Then the one phrase helped me: "If you do something, eat or drink, and it's with love for yourself - it's good. If not, then you should think about whether to do it.'' 4. And the fourth is a book about self-sabotage by Brianna Wiest. I realized that I was self-sabotaging myself. That I suppressed certain emotional needs with parties. I dream someday I will not drink alcohol at all. But I think that full control is good for my age yet haha

There is a certain level of bitterness that comes afterwards with our curiosity to experiment. Momentarily it feels like a sort of love affair between an edge hard to describe. Like a loner sulking in solitude just passing time. No intervention can heal the gap cos intuitively we know what it is that fills that gap. We just keep anticipating it. There's a love affair in between the story and the storyteller. A tragedy. For a spec of divine the soul keeps crushing itself. It craves that particular connection so intensely. A friend who left without farewell and u never know if they will ever return. But u do wait, for the return, they leave to only come back . But it doesn't come back in the form of our imagination. But as the light it is itself , u recognize it with the warmth cos it's that what u were waiting to wrap around u. Quitting a bad habit or let's say an indulgence to fill empty times a blank so vast doesn't remain empty. Existence is filled with the presence of the one love we all come from and crave to unite with.

Alcohol has become an obligation when socializing. Yes it does help one gain confidence when interacting with strangers in a social setting, but if you keep relying on alcohol for confidence then it becomes a crutch. Besides the people you usually drink with are not that interesting when sober and you'd rather not hang out with them without alcohol.

quitting anything bad is good for your health. but quitting completely in a span of a short time such as a single day is quite dangerous for your health actually. therefor it is suggested to quit whatever u r quitting little by little. like for example, if u drink like 2 bottles of alcohol a day and now u've decided to quit, then u should start drinking 1.5 bottle a day instead of 2 and so on until u completely quit

July 31 will mark four years since I took my last drop of alcohol 🍷. I was not a big drinker but! I feel great without it.

I agree that alcohol and nicotine are way worse than pot and it's not ok that it's not criminalized 😢

I used to do heavy drinking every weekend from my early to mid 20s and since then have slowly decreased overall alcohol consumption to like 10% of what I used to drink. Maybe less. I'm currently 31 and drink very little, but lots of my friends my age are still on that heavy drinking spree, most of them stuck in a lifestyle they're not happy with (and will openly admit it) but seem to be in a loop they can't get out of. It's also taking a toll on them physically and it pains me to see them self-destruct in that way. But alcohol is SO normalized that if you suggest going out less or drinking less they look at you like you're insane

Not to say alcohol is healthy bc it’s not of course, but it doesn’t necessarily need to be either 0 or 120%. The examples he’s giving here are more on the “extreme” side. Going out and grabbing a drink and chatting with friend doesn’t have to mean drinking your face off with the goal to get drunk or even remotely close it. I’ll get a cocktail with friends fairly often just for the enjoyment and appreciation of the drink itself, not bc of the fact its alcohol. To anybody who wants to stop more power to you, but moderation is also an option

I do love alcohol (some spirits and cocktails, wine, and a couple types of beers) but yes when I realized I was more confident/braver after drinking, I made it a point to try doing things I was afraid or self-conscious about WITHOUT drinking. And another thing I had to stop doing was drowning my sorrows and self-destructing (that came with a lot of work on self-love). So I can say I am aware of its downsides because I've been there, but I know I can enjoy it without going overboard now. 😊

I can’t even drink if I wanted to because alcohol gives me heart palpitations, chest pain, and insomnia. It’s not worth the pain just to act stupid for a few hours.

So many programs out there that promise you'll quit drinking from one day to the next and feel great for the rest of your life. Listen, Steffon Barkload's Quit Drinking Forever takes a lighter, safer approach which you decide to go with at your own pace. Best shortcut I go’ogled that only took days to rewire my brain to continually experience mental peace.
