I was quite sad to see the video taken down, because Arab supremacy is a HUGE problem in our community and it’s almost as if we aren’t allowed to address it. But completely understand and support the reasons behind why you took it down. I’m often mistaken as Arab and the things people will say to me about South Asians, not knowing my husband is Pakistani, is absolutely disgusting and it’s really horrible to see how comfortable themes of racism, colorism, and supremacy are within the Arab community and even the Ummah at large. May Allah swt guide us all, it’s sad to see the state of things.

I see what you're saying. One thing to also notice is how many of them are/ behave around 'white' people. You sort of see changes in their behavior. It can go from slight discomfort to full on inferiority complex 101. Because I have seen both sides of them feeling that they're better than and feeling less than at the same time, I tend to remind them of that spectrum switch. It can really humble alot of people.

I am amazigh (aka berber) from north of Morroco. I don’t speak arab because arab is not my native tongue (of course I should learn it) We don’t speak arab at home plus we moved to Spain when I was 6, so I did not get to go to school in Morroco ( at that time school started at 7 years old). Arab complex superiority is not something against Desis only. I received so much criticism for not speaking arab and I witnessed racism from arab native speakers against amazighs. People intentionally having full blown conversations in arab to exclude me, being in a way treated as not enough muslim and the list goes on. Please use your platform to speak up…

Majority of Muslims in the world are non-Arab. That fact should be repeated all the time! The only reason the beloved Quran is written in Arabic is because it was revealed to people from that specific region in Saudi Arabia that spoke Arabic. With time, it was translated to so many languages that everyone can understand and learn, which is great!! I wouldn't mind if they are gatekeeping their 'culture', which many ignorant people do, however when they start gatekeeping religion, that's when you start calling them out and show them their place that they keep forgetting to go back to.

It's so bad that some use Arab as synonym for Muslim. I am Amazigh and can speak darija. Moroccans go out of their way to point out my Amazigh accent. I live in the Netherlands. Since I respond with, Yes, Amazigh and proud, suddenly they have Amazigh parents and grandparents too. We have a lot or Syrian refugees here in the Netherlands. I did voluntary work with them but stopped since I noticed their hatred for non-Arabs. It took me years to understand because I don't see a problem with my ethnicity, and I am very proud of my Amazigh roots, history and culture. One day the quarters started to drop, and I stopped immediately. I suddenly realised that all the questions about Morocco were not from ignorance but superiority complex. So, imagine my annoyance when the Moroccan football team was hailed by the Arabs as an Arab football team.

Sometimes, people get too comfortable with being subconsciously/consciously racist and ignorant, and then when you call them out and confront their behavior, they will sometimes acknowledge it in such a generalized way and in a nonchalant manner. However when you start describing their messed up behavior in a detailed manner, with specific incidences on an unapologetic way, that's when their denial will start playing it's part. Then the insults will start from there!

I commented on one of your other videos saying: 'Some Arabs have this two-sided combination of superiority and inferiority complex which i have personally seen for myself on different occasions. There are times where some Arabs would feel good about themselves and superior when they are surrounded by south asains, africans etc. Some examples I saw were in Mosques, where I have seen Arabs yelling at Indians over taking chairs to sit on. On the other hand, unsurprisingly I have seen Arabs being very welcoming to white people, inviting them to Islamic sessions, hoping to change their so-called 'negative' opinions and media portrayals of them, being very patient while they are actively being degraded, and complaining about the racism, when they are doing the exact same thing. It's funny really! Religion aside, there are also Arabs who try hard to portray themselves as 'normal', 'likeable', and display this sort of "Hey, I'm just like you" mentality to gain social acceptance from specifically 'white' people. There were even lawsuits filed by lebanese/Syrian Arabs around 1952, where they literally fought to be racially classified as 'white' when they wanted to enter the United States and become citizens. Little do some of them know that if it wasn't for African-American Civil rights leaders fighting for all kinds of people to achieve racial equality and opportunities in the past, they wouldn't have been able to immigrate to America!' For me personally, as a person who absolutely detestes racism, even in the most micro-agressive forms, I will immediately start calling people out and make them very uncomfortable in their ignorance. The worst part is some of them think that American views on racism doesn't apply to them, and that they are free from criticism. Lastly, I would like to add, although it does take time to heal and grow and learn from your experiences, it was actually great for you to express yourself knowing how others might perceive it. It shows character and confidence! Edit: It doesn't matter how many people get mad, what Tazzy said was 100% true, and anyone who attacks her is already proving her point.

After 9/11 many of them ran away from their religion out of shame and ridicule. I don't really blame them, however it shouldn't be at the expense of them having their own struggles and taking it out on black/ african and south asian folks, and treating them with such disrespect and disgust. They have no rights to do that. Here's another mind blowing fact: 'White' is a freaking social construct and a form of status, and not a way to racially describe a person. You can tell by the stigma behind many of these labels that they were formed out of malice and to determine the trajectory of an individuals life. @@carwofat1901 That’s a good point. People often reference “white supremacy” especially in regards to European colonialism but Arabs have a similar history. If there are white Christians who look down upon believers from previously conquered ethnicities then it makes sense that Arab Muslims would do the same with the ethnicities they had conquered. Obviously a tiny portion of both as true pious believers would feel love and kinship for all who share their faith. But it still exists and it’s so nasty and unenlightened.

The decision to remove the video was necessary because I feel like it’s a video that has been haunting you for quite a while now. But to share my experiences with ‘arab supremacy’, I’ve lived in the gulf for half of my life and I of course notice there is a difference between arabs and foreigners, however I thought it made sense since it’s their country and all… But then there was a time when I befriended an arab later on in my life when I was living back in the uk, and I remember her saying to me how she doesnt see me as the other asians (uk asians = south asians, predominantly pakistani) and how she forgets that i am asian. Yes, the fact is my lived experiences do differ from other asians in that area where i used to live, but it lowkey irked me when she said this. Because as time went on, she felt more snd more comfortable criticising pakistanis, even calling them ‘pakis’… like sorry but that’s not your place to critique, especially in front of me. Sure, I may hold opinions on what would be considered my community, but that is not an entry for outsider opinions to come in thinking it’s fine for them to be overtly racist. And to follow up with these unwarranted comments with full displaying on arab pride. But the truth at the end of it all is that this girl was, and still is to my recent knowledge, a very insecure person. Her insecurities from our high school days have been self aided through rebellion against her parents, cosmetic work, and what I’ll call religious preaching hypocrisy. The ignorance is ridiculously high.

@@carwofat1901 Yeah, I mean going back to my experiences in the Gulf, despite foreigners being second to local arabs, somehow white people still benefit from their privileges. I grew to understand white privilege whilst living in the Arab world, interestingly. Heck, the UAE changed their working week from Sunday to Thursday, to Monday to Friday, granted that the Friday is technically a half day, but it does not realistically leave enough time for working people to beat the traffic and arrive at the mosque/home for Jummah prayer. Another example, my father works in education and has privately mentioned to me how South Asian teachers, even if they are British/American born, are not favoured by Arab parents. They would rather see some white South African as their child’s teacher than someone a Western born South Asian. Because blonde = better. This same phenomenon occurs in the far east as well. Russians who cannot speak good English are hired in China to teach English. I guess nothing beats white supremacy. But, I want to see things from an alternative perspective, to try and recognise the privileges I do have access to. I have things thousands probably wish for, and probably don’t even realise they are missing out on. And I should appreciate that. Alhamdulillah.

That is actually the reason why I responded to this video. I used to be very observant of these types of behaviors, and although not directly, I saw the negative impact of it. Its a shame that they changed the work week. If only people can protest citing religious reasons. 'White' supremacy is a terminal illness that needs to be destroyed. It makes me look at others cultures affected by it in disdain. It also makes me slightly unappreciatve or unphased when I see other nationalties showing off their cultures, deep down knowing they are doing so for 'white' approval.

Supremacy and racism is part of every culture. I was born in Pakistan but because my parents were immigrants from a war country for 17 years of my life I experienced all kinds of trauma from racist people there. I was once living in a predominant Arab society and omg they were extremely arrogant and racist too. Same experience when I was living in Asian countries like China and Japan. I hear a lot about white supremacy and racism but personally I have not experienced it. I always felt accepted among Australians, Americans and Canadians, maybe not as much with French and east Europeans. The bottom line is, no one is clean but I also met a lot of nice people in my life so it is hard to say one culture is racist or supremist, unfortunately it is everywhere.

as a sudanese person who grew up in qatar, I have experienced firsthand the horrendous amount of racism that africans and desi people experience at the hands of arabs. now living in america, I have struggled with arabs in my own community being casually racist with me in almost every interaction I have. It’s deeply imbedded in the culture and it’s very telling how there’s a lot of backlash when the racism is being called out.

As a Christian Pakistani, I can relate but in a religious context. Even though, bar a few exceptions, my interactions with Pakistani Muslims have been amazing! I still struggle when I see how minorities ( particularly religious) are treated in Pakistan and it makes my blood boil honestly! However I'm trying to understand that these people are a victim of the cuture too where even speaking up for the anyone, who has caused the slightest "perceived" offense, can be suicidal! Nevermind the atrocious blasphemy law but even beyond that mob rule and violence is such a real possibility that it doesn't even need to reach the courts! Through the grace and love of Christ, I am slowly trying to rid myself of the bitterness and resentment I hold and trying to pray for those who persecute believers as commanded in the Bible. I'm far from perfect but I believe that through God's love I am able to do that for both the victims and their oppressors. As a Muslim Arab myself i have always respected different people in general. But Muslims from other country's were always very heart warmingly beautiful, how different my culture was from theirs but still we share one religion that binds us together like a family, our ummah. And i have always admired how for instance Malaysians, again not Arabs, often are more religious and are raised with the Islamic customs and modesty. As a Muslim no matter what origin i have i would never feel comfortable to judge or think lowly of other Muslims it is a grave sin that everyone should be aware of. Also towards non Muslims we always must treat others friendly and be understanding even in cases where we get treated badly and get hurt from mistreatment we should pull back from showing negative attitude or arrogance. Even our Prophet peace be upon him, other people treated him badly, but he showed his brothers how to treat others with dignity and respect and that is the example we must follow. As the Quran said, we are made different in order to get to know one another, and explore each others differences. I am very sorry sis you felt less than, because of some rotten apples that are bound to be there, they exist in every nationality sadly. This is one of the first videos I'm watching on your channel and I completely understand why taking down the original was a tough but necessary step to make. I grew up in a predominantly Arab Muslim community, went to Islamic school for middle & high school. They all talk and news spreads like wildfire. I've made friends with people of all kinds of ethnicities and I've witnessed firsthand and personally experienced this. I'm Pakistani as well but get mistaken for being Arab a lot, to the point where older Arabs from the community & some of my teachers would speak to me in arabic and then try to argue with me about my ethnicity & ancestry. It would hurt that they didn't believe that I could come from Pakistan, "i was too fair-skinned". They would then proceed to treat me differently after learning I wasn't Arab. Students would bully and I would see their eyes when they would talk to each other about other races "she's pakistani" "he's moroccan" and they would smile & glare at one another in a judgmental way. Students would be treated differently, arab students would get away with so much bullying and harassment only because the staff was arab and would be family friends with their parents. One of my friends was from Sudan and spoke fluent Arabic, since she was dark-skinned none of the Arabs thought she understood them and the racist & vile things she would hear coming out of some of their mouths (teachers even!) were despicable. We were in school at a masjid after all. This is only the tip of the iceberg, there were so many things that I saw take place there that had left a sour taste in my mouth. But Alhamdulillah now the school is doing a lot to change the "arab's are superior" narrative. But I feel that they HAVE to not because they WANT to. MashAllah now there are more diverse ethnicities attending than ever before. The community unfortunately still holds onto this mindset though. I would also like to mention the superiority complex that plagues Pakistani's as well. Unfortunately this is a widespread issue. Some Pakistani's are so racist towards minorities in their own country. They also skin-shame, being a dark-skinned Pakistani is seen as an "insult" in some of their eyes. These issues need to be strongly addressed and these mindsets need to be changed. Being biased towards and creating favoritism towards certain people/races/ethnicities is not taught in Islam! We are taught to be respectful of all, and yet these backward ideologies plague communities.

It’s sad when you approach the world with an attitude of oneness; one ummah, brothers and sisters, but are confronted with disdain, ignorance, arrogance. I swear some Arabs would happily ‘embrace ‘ iz real y’ ‘zio’ before they’d accept a Muslim brother of south Asian descent. Ancient India's Achievments 1.Indians had concepts of calculus before west like infinite series for pi, power series for sine and cosine, inverse tangent series, and much more. These series were made by Madhava, who was a medieval indian mathematician and astronomer. 2. Aryabhatta invented sine function. 3. Bhaskara II gave modern definitions of sine and cosine. 4. Sushruta performed complex surgeries like brain, cataract, rhinoplasty, limb, and much more over 2000 years ago. Surgery was invented in Egypt first, but we made many contributions to it. 5. Maharishi Kanad, a philosopher, proposed the idea of atoms in 600 BCE. 6. Brahmagupta invented the formula to determine the area of cyclic quadrilaterals. 7. Decimal System. 8. Binary number system by pingala. 9. Ayurveda. 10. Bhaskara I stated that the at the highest point the rate of change is zero. 11. Varahamihira predicted water on Mars thousands of years ago. 12. Sridharacharya invented the modern-day quadratic formula. 13. Solutions to quadratics. Modern India's Achievements: 1. Har Gobind Khorana synthesized the first artificial gene and demonstrated the role of nucleotides in protein synthesis. He also artificially synthesized coenzyme A and played a massive role in cracking the genetic code. I reccomend you watch and learn more about him. He shaped modern genetics. 2. Chandryaan 3 landing on the south pole of moon. 3. Mars Mission. 4. Sun Mission (Aditya - L1) 5. Fiber optics by Narinder Singh Kapany. 6. Jagdish Chandra Bose was one of the pioneers in wireless communication before Marconi and transmitted signals before him. 7. Discovery of millimeter waves by Jagdish Chandra Bose. 8. Discovery of cholera toxin by Dr. Sambhu Nath De. 9. USB by Ajay Bhatt. 10. Pentium Chips by Vinod Dham. 11. S.N. Bose made contributions to quantum mechanics like Bose-Einstein condensate and laid the foundations for Higgs Boson. 12. Quantum Statistics by S.N. Bose. Also, Boson particles are named after him. 13. G.N. Ramachandran discovered the triple helical structure of collagen protein and deepened our understanding of sickle cell anemia. 14. Ramachandran plot, which is a tool used to visualize which angles can amino acids take in proteins. 15. Venki Ramakrishnan discovered the high resolution atomic structure of ribosomes, which gives us a deeper understanding of how ribosomes manufacture proteins. 16. Airplane by shivkar bapuji talpade in 1895, although we are not sure how true this is. 17. Cervical Cerclage first described by Sirodkhar. There are many more indian greats you should learn about. Examples: Srinivasa Ramanujan, Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar, C.V. Raman and Raj Reddy (one of the pioneers in AI along with McCarthy). We have a lot of contributions to humanity, but some credits are wrongfully attributed to Westerners. Not only that westerners ruined our image through their media. We are portrayed as street sh*tters, cow urine drinkers, unhygienic, female baby k*llers, cow dung eaters, etc. This will cause them to look down on us.

I'm pakistani. I live in nyc in a heavily arab populated area. Lol yeah too many arabs are racist and it does not stop at the older generations because they are teaching their kids and young arabs dislike us just as much. Arab girls are clique-y, arab guys are.....yeah i don't have any polite words for them. It will never stop me from going to the masjid, but it does make community events frustrating. When i was in college it was way worse, the rudeness and arrogance was off the charts. Then i became a lecturer at my college aaand they didn't know what to make of that either but just kind of toned down the rudeness.

Oh my, I relate a lot with the community events. I love Eid, like I look forward to it. The only thing I dread and actively avoid are racist Arabs. They are so bitter. But I dont allow it to ruin the day for me at all. I don't deserve it. Their racism overtakes their following of what Islam actually teaches them. Its like they actively avoid it. Thats why I tend to call them out when I see them and don't mind being confrontational. Those types of Arabs are the ones who don't know how to act around others and are so morally disgusting, sorry to say. Those are also the ones who want toxic 'proximity to whiteness' . I see right through it all. Dont even get me started on the Arab youtube families who try so hard to appeal to 'white people' and try to socially gain their acceptance.

I think this has also to do with who represents the majority of the Muslim population in that western country. I say western country because the experiences are with people who are Arabs living in the US. In the UK the majority population of Muslims is Pakistani and then Bangladeshi, we have some North Africans like Algerians and Moroccans but very small compared to Pakistani and Bangladeshis. We face no issues from Arabs like that here since we run the masjids and represent the Muslim community be that sports, media etc. other communities defo feel like that about the Pakistani/Bengali community like you feel about Arabs. I just wanna put something out here since it shares relevancy to this video. My aunt knew an neighbor of hers who was Afghan who's daughter married an Arab man. From the day of her marriage till her divorce, his mother in-law was hellbent on destroying their marriage by any means possible and eventually it worked. She wanted her son to marry an Arab woman since inception, apparently even the guy was just using her (according to my aunt) and they went their separate ways. This is one of the reasons Afghans look down on intermarriage with Arabs. I have no problem with Arabs, i think they are great people for the most part but many are tribalistic and xenophobic mixed in with a false sense of superiority complex.

Inferiority complex is very complex. I am an Indian Muslim and like other desis I know how people in our community look up to the Arab speaking people. Having the knowledge that most people who call themselves Arab are not really Arab (including the Egyptians, Iraqis, Syrians and Palestinians) and understanding Arabs are in no sphere better than Desis, like Islamic knowledge or practice or values or even secular knowledge and intellect, and this makes a huge difference, as you can simply speak Arabic language and Identify as an Arab. A few salient points to mention lol 1. Desis have been doing way better in western countries than Arabs 2. Desi countries are more stable than most Arab nations 3. Desis are more into Islam than Arabs (yes this is true) 4. Desis are less violent than most Arabs 5. Desis are smarter than most Arabs Arabs and Desis also look very similar - in case you want to claim Arabs from the north, i.e. Syria or Lebanon are whiter and from the south are black, there are Desis from the North, i.e Pashtuns and others who are as white as any and there are Desis from Sri Lanka and South India who are black as any (except they don't have the Afro hair). So yes most Desis and Arabs look similar based on which region you want to compare them to. Having said that, of course this is a broad generalisation BUT in general every ethnicity hates the other (a common phenomenon), thus the problem lies in Desis looking upto the Arabs as if they are a special race, while Arabs do what anyone else does - hate the "other", and they are hated by the "Turks", "Persians" and others. Stop looking up to these Arabs and look at them as equals and you won't find a special hate against yourself but another race just hating on those who are not like them, and build your own Identity of being from the land of Sanskrit (not Arabic or Persian)

You shouldn't have taken it down. Discussing the racism within the Arab world and their superiority complex is an issue that needs way more attention. Arab society is not just societal, it's institutionalized racism and there are no outlets to even begin the discussion there. They won't address it, they teach racial ideologies in their schools, revise history to fit a narrative of supremacy, and appropriate countless cultures within the region. It's important for the diaspora to shine a light on it from wherever they can. Racism towards Iranians, Indians, South-East Asians, Turks, etc. They also hand wave the issue away and blame others for racism, saying others have a superiority complex, and bemoaning the racism that Arabs receive from usually the west. It's hypocritical, it's weak, it's cowardice. I can't feel sympathy for people who never look inwards, who never feel empathy for other human beings.

The most anti-Arab people I have ever met are literally Egyptian Christians. It took Egypt a while to even become Arabized (by force). As a half Arab (half Mexican), there's definitely a supremacy issue especially as it connects to religion unfortunately. It's extremely sad and I don't believe this is what Allah would want, it's literally pride overtaking their nafs. It's so hypocritical to what our religion teaches us, that I actually stay away from Arabs and don't find common ground with them, especially in the States when they hold me "higher" for knowing Arabic fluently and having lived in an Arab country for almost 10 years as a kid (because it directly implies the opposite of putting others lower for not knowing Arabic or not being Arab or not being directly exposed to the culture which is literally what prophet Muhammad pbuh had to fight against in getting people to stop blindly following their forefathers tradition simply for social acceptance and racial superiority). It feels embarrassing that they would make this a social status thing and bind it to religion too. Don't even get me started on them trying to literally ignore that I am half Mexican and try to box me into being 100% Arab when I'm not, I'm half and half like the best dairy for mashed potatoes.
