Matt made a great point. Some of us are never going to make the tour and just love to tinker. That has a lot to do with why we watch. I learn something new in every video, then see if it can be incorporated into my game.

Hey Ian, Mitch C from Wine Country here. A couple of comments on the Hi Toe. These clubs are very special as you note. I have hit incredible shots out of terrible lies of all kinds. Callaway PM grind proceeded the Hi Toe and while it was very good out of the bad, it was extremely inconsistent on full shots. The Hi Toe is much better. I have been playing a TM Hi Toe from the tour department that has incorporated refinements for the Tour with a more square leading edge, a slightly smaller head, one less groove and a little different some grind. Some these refinements are to be seen in the new stronger lofts coming. All I can say that this has become one of my favorite clubs in my bag (along with my BGrace short stick). My 60* is great on full shots and magic around the greens! I have the stronger ones coming😁

Been looking forward to this one for a while!!! Great looking set up through the bag. Really considering the hi-toe wedge myself as most of my shots with my 60 are opening the face up and playing around. Not so much full shots. And they seem so popular

Great irons. Srixon are sleeping giants. The 765 are brilliant. I’m keen to see the new model. Turf interaction is outstanding. If the new model has a thinner sole it’s a no brainer. I play my clubs 3 degree flat. Cheers Ian 👍😀🏌🏼

Play a Bobby Grace 3 diamond tour since March. I've had almost every style/brand of putter out there. Always struggled with rolling the ball end over end and on target. No more struggles. Hands down the best addition to my bag EVER. Underrated putters. If I buy another putter, it will be a Bobby Grace.
@mujarice6 жыл бұрын
Also, I've had interest in a stability putter shaft. I have the heavier weights in my BG putter and have a Tour Lock optivibe (I think 75g) under my lower hand. How would I be able to use a Stability shaft and get the weight up? I'm assuming that the graphite upper section has thicker walls and can't accommodate the optivibe. I think some stability in the shaft will benefit me with the added weight on both ends of the shaft. Thanks

Ian, I have the 60 Callaway PM wedge and same thing. I feel like I can get up and down from everywhere, but outside of 60 yards it stays in the bag. I think it’s the rounded leading edge, I don’t always feel 100% confident that I’m lined up with my shot.

I hit the new Taylormade GAPR Mid #4 (21 degrees) yesterday while picking up some golf balls at Golftown. I REALLY liked that club. That club in a 3 with a nice custom shaft I think would be a really good candidate for your hybrid replacement. It was easy to hit off the mat and had a very nice flight. Far more confidence inspiring that any driving iron and the smaller footprint made it very playable with good turf interaction. I predict that club with a nice custom shaft could be a very hot seller for you guys for people looking for both short & long hybrids & driving irons. Didn't like the low or high GAPRs but that Mid is really good. I can actually see myself replacing both my Taylormade M1 #4 and Callaway Epic #2 (my short & long hybrids) with two of these clubs. Please have Matt or you Ian do a show on that club compared to the 790 UDI and others.

Had the opportunity to go to a Srixon Demo Day yesterday and hit the new line. The H85 was a rocket launcher. Launched almost too high - would be interested to see what shaft you would end up with in that. And the 785 irons felt great. The smaller sole of them is absolute money. We have extremely similar swings/speeds/tenancies so I will be curious to see what you end up with.

I’ve got a 58 hi toe in the bag and couldn’t agree with you more Ian on how good it is. One question I have is that from pictures I’ve seen online lots of tour guys play the club with a more traditional grind than the ATV. Radial face on a putter = bulge and roll on the driver? And a Scotty grip on the putter! On another note, how do u feel about a pitching wedge to match the iron composition vs a specialised wedge in a 45-47 loft?
@sirmike2k106 жыл бұрын
Do you guys play the irons at the newer "standard" lengths? I don't mind it in the shorter irons but the long irons seem really long for an iron nowadays! Example: My iron set calls the stock 4 iron at 39.25 inches and the 5 iron is 38.5 inches.!
@craigwall7756 жыл бұрын
Great video but I do have gapping question based on your comment. I hit my 4 wood 17 degree rogue approximately 260 but my driver which is a 9.5 rogue I hit 280. Nice bag makeup. Quick question - If I'm off 11 and have no fitted clubs, would you expect me to shave shots off my handicap with a full bag fitted for me? Can you put a number on that? I suppose the question is what does a fitting do for you? Dispersion over distance? Cheers

Really great video!!! It raised 2 questions: 1- I've always wondered why the Wilson Fat Shaft died out, it seemed to be a great idea to me. Maybe it was an idea ahead of it's time - it sure sounded cool when you were swinging them. Do you have any thoughts on why it didn't catch on (was it just the name?)? 2- Do you think at some stage you could do a video on the gym weights/exercises that Ian alluded to with regards to increasing his clubhead speed? It would be a good companion to your superspeed series. Cheers, and keep up the great work.
