1. (0:15) When someone is talking about their problems with you, sometimes being silent and listening is the way to go 2. (1:15) It's better to be silent instead of blurting out some in-the-moment feelings that might be hurtful or make the situation worse 3. (2:12) If you don't want to deal with a dumb argument, you can avoid it or end it quickly by remaining silent 4. (3:04) Sometimes actions speak louder than words, and staying silent allows you to express yourself through actions rather than words 5. (3:50) When in group conversations, especially if you're not familiar with those you are talking with, it can be a good idea to be silent to observe and learn about those you are talking with 6. (5:02) Silence is often your friend in negotiations - silence can convey a sense of mystery and power since it might lead the other side to believe that you are willing to walk away instead of settling for less than the desired outcome

I used to be so gregarious and so outgoing and then after a couple of times of me being burned by people. now I just sit back and I just watch and like you said don't sit there and be sullen and silent where people get uncomfortable and think you're weird but interject a few "oh yeah"! "right! yeah" and a couple of comments or a little bit of interaction but reserve your personal views until you get a feeling of what the people are like

Silence the mind is the most challenging skill needs to be performed. If it's appropriate, silence can be a fatal weapon. Why? Silence makes you unpredictable and gives you chance to decern the other side's points and errors. Silence confuses your opponent. Silence and inner peace combined give you time to focal and optimize your irreversible counter-blow, or surgical answer. No fluff. Don't be like Karen, whining like kids. Don't be too talkative for nothing, you reveal your weaknesses. Silence is gold and energy-saving, yet efficiency is at your reach.

Staying silent when talking to police; and keeping simple yes and no answers is powerful! It drives police nuts when people do not talk; but answering questions every so often keeps them aware that your aware of their questions. Answer questions that do not have’anything’ to do with why police are questioning; and keep friendly yes and no to questions that general public would answer. Some times police can get very aggressive with questions; stay calm and chive on with yes and no... and people stop refusing to show ID; show ID and keep a smile. Talk simple fun things, like saying... today is a. Beautiful day... but stay silent with not talking randomly. Silence is ok during questions from police; but “stay silent” and show ID. Smile, say what a beautiful day, stay silent. Don’t ask police questions why they stopped a person; stay silent, let them ask questions. Then say yes and no, but not to what crime suspect they are looking for. Stay silent, stare at them. They have to prove, and saying nothing about anything keeps them from finding any reason to hold a person. stay friendly; but stay silent. Don’t hold your body in a hug; keep hands from rapid movements. Keep hands in the steeple position. Fingers together, out front. I recently had police called and I was questioned by a group at once. I stayed silent, answered general questions with and yes and no; and joked simplely: about jokes about police and weed. Kept eye contact on the ground until I answered a question and would stare at who asked question. Then looked back down to ground. Let them ask you! Use only one liners to make police laugh; no drawn out jokes, keep it simple. But stay silent after they laugh. On the police side they have multiple people talking to them on radios; so they are busy... but one good laugh works wonders in a hectic situation. But if a joke would make you look suspect; then no joking, stay silent. It works great 👍
