Thank you for representing my all time favourite Comic Book character “Venom!” But I don’t think it’s a walk in the park for Venom to beat down Spider Man because we’ve watched Pete outwit Venom countless times to save his girl or who ever in danger from the old vengeance cursed Venom in the beginning… but then Eddie and Venom did some soul searching and decided to try to be a hero/anti hero. Like teaming up with Spider Man and a few others to stop Carnage and his team of misfits and it was my favourite comic series to this day. Thanks for your awesome work Dan!!!

His intelligence overall is going to win him this fight, though. Originally, Venom was never going to be a character who Spider-Man can just brawl with and come out on top. He is Spider-Man in a way, but stronger and more durable. The same would go for this version of Venom, except we don't really know his strength. He was never bonded with Spider-Man, after all.

Like I said, Venom is and has never been somebody who Spider-Man can just brawl. He was always meant to be a weakness to Spider-Man. We're also not talking comics. This is MCU Spider-Man and Sony's Venom. Considering MCU Spider-Man is factually the strongest (in film) comparing feats, it is very easy to say he could very well go up against a character who doesn't really have anything crazy going on for him. This version of Venom, there could very well be a brawl. Combining all of Spidey's skills, though, there is no question that he could take him on.

Spider-man has the intelligence edge on venom, making him more adaptable in a fight, but overall, spider-man’s biggest advantage is his plot armor. Physically speaking, anything spider-man can do, Venom can do it equally as well. I’d even say Venom is a match for spider-man’s speed and agility. Venom isn’t limited to a body builder physique that takes fights up close. He has a great deal of control over the hosts physical form and function (venom can rearrange its hosts cells to turn itself around without having to physically change positions, can manifest functional projectile weaponry (as was seen in agent venom, as well as his regular ability to use webbing). Another part of Spider-Man’s agility is his spider-sense. It acts as a form of precognition, allowing him to begin a counter action almost as soon as an attack is formed. that doesn’t apply the same way to venom as it does other opponents. Without its benefit, spider-man’s reaction time is drastically reduced. Venom doesn’t have a spider sense in the same way Spider-Man does, but he does have highly enhanced senses. the suit itself is functionally one big 360 eyeball, ear, nose, tongue and finger, all rolled into one and dialed to 11. Having 100% awareness of your immediate surroundings at all times is a huge advantage. Spider-man also has his other senses enhanced, but those granted by the symbiote are on a whole other level. Venom, in his most standard form, is like Spider-man, Mystique, Mr. Fantastic, and Doc-Ock in one body.

Spider-Man, as in many of his fights, do not win via fighting up-close like most of his opponents. I do believe even with him going allout he needs external factors to win against Venom, however, most of his fights against others, he does not. Saying that, he can still win due to tech and prep, but random encounter I don't see it unless his insane intelligence allows him a specific way to win. That is actually possible but very tough.

In the comics, venom does not set off Peter's spider sense, but in the movies venom has never bonded to Peter, so there's no reason he would have this advantage in the movies

Since its movie version (Tom Holland and Tom Hardy) venom wins. I think something a lot of people aren’t considering when they look at this is what venom can actually do. Also a lot of people argue with the fact that Spider-Man outsmarts venom but a lot of people forget they’ve never encountered so Spider-Man is completely new to fighting symbiots. Also I’d like to point out in venom the last dance that venom uses all of his physical strength and is able to restrict multiple xenophages (symbiot hunters). Also venom can form things like weapons, shields, tendrils, ect.
