Why They Decided To Cancel Stranger Things Day This Year 😢

#StrangerThints They cancelled Stranger Things Day this year and are turning it into "Stranger Season." Don't ask me why because it seems like there's no answer besides one thing everyone is dealing with right now. We are about 12 months away from Season 5 coming out so while we were hoping to get our first Stranger Things trailer, we might not see it for a while. 4:40 mark - I was a teenager in the 80's (same age as Billy & Steve). Guy's shirts with removeable sleeves were a big fashion trend. It has nothing to do with the heat in Atlanta or something with the storyline. Steve & Mike are just wearing the popular style of shirts that a lot of teen boys & young men wore back in that time period.

The only thing I can think is maybe they’ll do the usual big promos or teasers on Will’s birthday next March, because that’ll be closer to six months before the season’s likely to release, it’ll be a fun wink to when the duffers forgot his birthday, and it would work because of how the next season is going to be so Will-focused.

As a Halloween Horror Nights fanatic and someone who used to work in theme parks, my guess is that Universal simply didn’t renew the contract with Netflix for Stranger Things this year 🤷🏼‍♀️ They’d already gone through the four seasons that are out and HHN doesn’t do the same house twice. Plus ever since Universal got stuck doing The Walking Dead SEVEN years in a row (and the fans did nothing but moan and complain about it), they REALLY just don’t like doing the same IP that many years in a row That’s it. Nothing too deep. Universal probably didn’t renew the IP, so Netflix probably licensed the rights with the next highest bidder

killing jonathan wastes his character. They need a good conclusion to him whether its breaking up with nancy or choosing to go to college with her. I do think however Steve and Dustin are goners. Steve has almost no connection to any charachter outside of the main cast, which makes it easier to kill him. Dustin, it seems like he's going to be going through a lot and losing Eddie and then Steve would be heartbreaking. Dustin also said "if you die, I die."

I would think if they kill Dustin that she would have a bigger part. But then again, maybe that's another loss he has to contend with. I also thought of Steve sacrificing himself for the kids. The brood he wants to have one day is right in front of him.

I mean I can understand why they didn't do a Stranger Things Day this year. I feel they were trying to be sensitive to how some people were feeling. I for 1 did not expect the election results so soon that I would get them the next morning. I sort of expected a trailer though around Nov. 6 or ST: The First Shadow to released on Netflix.
