My uncle had Lhasa apsos, a mom and a litter of puppies, and they were ALL a**holes. Lazy until they had the urge to lunge at you with their teeth like a short, fat, hairy snake with anger issues. Only then and when food was involved would they be fast. The one my grandpa adopted from my uncle (his eldest son) would bite grandpa's fingers before starting to eat! It wasn't that grandpa was a bad dog trainer, he was very good (all his other dogs over the years were well behaved), Leon was simply the king of the a**hole siblings.

I think you're spot-on with the Lhasa Apso diagnosis. As someone who owned a purebred Lhasa, Bruce (RIP) was very lazy and entitled, and barked at everything under the sun. He only calmed down when he got so old he couldn't charge to the door and bark. He could be a pain to deal with on the best of days. I loved him to bits though. And if Dolce isn't a pure Lhasa, he at least has some strong Lhasa genes in him.

LOVE this lil spicy man! 1. Dolce’s mom is a groomer. As a dog trainer with a dog who can’t behave for other people, I definitely understand that lovely irony. 😂 2. Dolce hates the vacuum. 3.
