I use Hyper G Soft in my Ezone 100 rackets, strung at 44lbs. Good feel and power, last a long time. I play 4-5 times per week, after 6-8 weeks I cut them out. But most likely could continue to play for much longer without them breaking. The strings are easy on my arm, no elbow pain

It sounds like you would be a good candidate for a hybrid setup, the way that you describe the string bed and what you want from it. I think either a hybrid poly setup, or a hybrid gut/poly. you should try something like a lynx main/hawk touch cross setup, or a gut/luxilon 4g or gut/hawk touch setup... gives you great bite and solid pocketing feel at the same time. Buuuut, not overpowered and what not. Anyway, your next review should be a hybrid, IMO.

Hey Mark, loved the content and the format as always. Have you thought of doing a Top 10 review of the strings overall every 3-4 months? This would help us to see where your preferences are at the time. If you have, could you consider doing a "Money is no object" and "Best for your money" top 10 charts? Thanks again for another great video. Cheers!

I can definitely see why it took longer to produce this test - a lot of deep thought obviously went into it! Question - the first negative put aside as personal observation, what are your thoughts regarding how the second negative might be negated by bumping up the tension or adjusting the tension of the crosses vs that of the mains?

So are you still hitting with Confidential 16l? I switched from that to luxilon 4g soft 16l and it feels better touch wise and the launch point feels a tad lower. I am trying one of my racquets with Wilson champions choice as well which is a Natural Gut: 16/1.30mm and Luxilon ALU Power Rough: 16L/1.25mm. We'll see how that goes... expensive experiment.

the hyper G soft was amazing for me, i was always hesitant in trying the original hyper G because of how harsh it was on the arm. when i tried the Hyper G soft 18, i accidentally strung it too low (46 / 47 lbs) because i thought i was never able to generate so much power on my own. i ended up hitting my normal shots longer so i will increase the tension to 50 / 50 next time. the spin is perfect and the feel is exquisite for me, and i like how dialed in i am when i hit the sweet spot on the ball. i strung another racquet with the confidential, and the main difference is that when i shank balls with the confidential they have a higher chance of staying in the court compared to hyper G soft. the confidential definitely feels more comfortable though.

After playing with the original hyper-g i said to give it a shot. Nowhere near in terms of playability and feel. Too soft and muted for my game. In comparison, Tour Bite Soft is probably my favorite string (i have no big experience in strings though, have played with around 10 different strings only). Regular Tour Bite is also good but too stiff on my arm, i can play for half an hour and then shift to something softer, like the HyperG or the Soft version of Tour Bite.

@bsakoff2 жыл бұрын
No. I play with the same racquet and went through a ton of strings before finding one I really think plays well on the Clash. The Gama Live Wire Professional at 58lb plays fantastic. Good control, good power, and great feel. I felt Polys just didn't play good on the cash. I normally do not play with multi's but the Gama feels perfect. Give it a try.

hey! You finally got to test the Soft version! As I commented on the Confidential video (I play tested the Soft and the Conf.) I felt that the soft was indeed jumpy (sometimes it flew away from me) at times and I had some troubles serving with spin. Nice too see you have the same thoughts about that (makes me feel less like an idiot XD). I played with the Vanilla Hyper-G and the Head Lynx Tour (1.25mm) last few weeks and I can say I liked them both over the HG-soft. The difference between the HyperG and HLynxT was in my opinion minimal except that I felt that the HLynxT was a little bit more easy to play with perhaps, more accessible. I am now in the process of switching racquets however. Leaving my power orientated Instinct for the new Head 360+ Speed MP. So I might need to play around with strings again ;) Anyway thanks for the reviews! And good luck with your next adventures!
