As an engineering student, I do think part of the reason women are statically more successful is because of easier majors. I almost dropped out the first year because of how hard the stem classes were meanwhile my non-stem general educations requirement classes like anthropology/world religions were a breeze. Most of my engineering classes have 2-4 females for a class of 25-40.

Any major that is not stem or is predominately female is considered to be easier because society tends to consider women as dumber. That's why.

I ran a successful music school here in Canada for over 36 years. The reason that Asians do better, from my experience, is because of their work ethic. They’re not generally smarter, or more musically gifted, but work harder, have discipline, don’t quit when it becomes difficult, and have a great family support system.

Maturity is a very individual thing. The more challenges you face early in your life, the more likely that you are more mature than your age cohort average, and vice versa. It's tricky to generalize this without cultural context, but today, both males and females are much less mature than earlier generations, yet only females get privileges on top.

Studies showed when female teachers graded work from their students without the name attached, they grade boys work significantly higher than if they know it's a boy. They also spend more time tutoring female students.

Its actually because women are far more conscientous than men. They will study effectively whereas men will waste a lot of time. Women amd girls do really well in systems with lots of rules and where moderation is very important. Unfortunately, most jobs are not like this. So despite women dominating university, even though many of those degrees are easy ones, they still don't compete well at the highest levels.
