Now, the purpose of this video is not to discredit or make lifting weights seem any less worthy. Lifting definitely is one of the best ways to get fit and I, personally, would more than likely suggest it to satisfy most people’s goals. But, it goes without saying, bodyweight training deserves just as much consideration, especially into a beginner’s program. In fact, I’ll go as far as saying that sometimes, even advanced lifters need to put down the barbell and start lifting their feet off the ground. Best case scenario is that we all do a little bit of both. But, at the end of the day, the choice is yours. As the old saying goes, when it comes to choosing the right program or training method, it depends on one thing… You.

This. People need to know the big point of calisthenics is to feel like you're sone sort of a anime protagonist in training. New variations, new styles, harder intensity, it's practically discovering what your own body could do and being great at each and every single one of them
@nvgboiyes63862 жыл бұрын
Calisthenics is also very practical as it can help the body overcome physical obstacles so calisthenics is great at preparing people to do things like rope climbing, getting over walls, or any other physical obstacle that a human might face.

@Mrthefunny123456 жыл бұрын
I started out my lifting with weights and power lifting. Then after 2 years, I began calisthenics and I love it to death and it's pretty much all I do now. I've gotten to the point where I can consider myself an Intermediate/Advanced calisthenic athlete (I can hold front/back levers, human flags, L-sits, muscle ups, [no planche yet though lol], and handstands). Yet, my own PERSONAL OPINION is that calisthenics may not be the best for beginners initially. I believe they need fundamental muscle strength FIRST before attempting full body weight exercises (Ex. Lat pull downs before pull ups. Bench press before push-ups) because it will be more beneficial and decrease risk of injury. I've helped train my friends in calisthenics but found it very difficult since they don't have fundamental strength (minimal gains/progress). I started by working out with them using weights to build that foundation. About half a year later, we returned to calisthenics and found much more benefits. Some friends were even able to learn the muscle up in just a month of training. BOTTOM LINE: I have found in MY OPINION: Having a strong strength foundation greatly increases calisthenic improvements. Btw calisthenics isn't for everyone for the main reason that it takes the most amount of time and dedication to get to an advanced level (in my opinion) and like PictureFit says: IT DEPENDS [on YOUR personal goals].

I love any type of fitness, be it bodyweight, weightlifting cycling or walking. I would like to think I have very good knowledge of fitness but PictureFit continues to expand my knowledge. Thank you. Video shared on my Twitter page. :)

Should you workout after being up all night at work? I got a new job at night and I'm usually tired and I'm gaining weight now. Sometimes i get 12 hour shifts and it's hard labor constantly sweating.
@nbaterrence94867 жыл бұрын
I would say yeah but limit the time of how you work our maybe about 10 to 20 mins. U can also go up to 30 mins depends how you're body react.
@Gibblesnyc7 жыл бұрын
Anthony Burgos I used to have the same problem working at a bar and didn't get back till 4-6am. Definitely try to squeeze a workout in before work or as soon as you get up. Get those endorphins goin so work passes by easier.

Anthony Burgos yeah, in study u need at least 30 mins go 1 hour of workout a day

The only equipment you need for calisthenics is a pair of rings and a tree with a branch. Any pull-up bar, dips bar, etc can be emulated with rings. Not only that, it gives you great stabilizers, which a bar would not.

But you have to admit it is less flexible and has it's limitations. Personal preference anyway.
@ibrahimismail86707 жыл бұрын
less flexible absolutely not, but does it have limitation? Yes.

best type of exercise for teens who can't really go to the gym or buy expensive like training machines. you simple need to go outside to the park or buy pull-up to start.

In Japan, the kids do calisthenics in the morning over the summer via a public radio program. They usually do it in groups at the playground. I wish I lived in a high trust society.

i have been enjoying calisthenic for more than a year, i can say that it can give you a "muscle outfit" especially for beginner, it builds base strength
@BlueFluGaming7 жыл бұрын
I agree with him. I personally did calisthenics for 4 months because I was scared to go to a gym. At the end of the 4 months I was stronger than I ever imagined and that is helping me today at the gym. After learning proper form with very light weights I was able to bench 155lbs which is CRAZY considering that I did calisthenics for only 4 months. My other lifts were strong too. I would definitely recommend calisthenics for beginners like me
@sniperelite3607 жыл бұрын
I love full body workouts. They are so handy to do and free. The gains might not be big but you get rock solid muscles. I don't like lifting weights so I am a huge supporter of calisthenics. Eventually I hope to get a good and natural looking physique.

Not just that but you can make friends a whole lot easier. There weren’t many instances where people in the gym tried to start a conversation and vice versa. And I can understand why. In the gym you feel more tension between everyone where it feels like you’ll annoy a stranger simply for making them take off their headphones to ask something. I also notice that people at the park look a lot more happy and carefree whereas I see many serious/ frustrated faces on the other end. You just become more relieved and talkative when you’re alone with one or more strangers who share your same hobby while being in a public setting with mostly non fitness people around

My biggest “gripe” with calisthenics is the absolutely beastly barrier to entry posed by trying to lift your body weight when you are both weak and overweight.
