Could it be that living by the flesh in the sense of the world is living from your soul as if there is no such thing as a spirit,so being identified with the soul as the self and developing it, perfecting it into all that you can be, all the goodness that you can be. All independently from life from the spirit. The same mindset as the first man and woman.
