Spoiler Alert... The best review that I can give after just finishing watching Zack Synder’s Justice League. Is that it is his best work of the three films that he has made with Superman in it. I was incredibly surprised that Ezra Miller actually made me laugh and smile far more than I expected. Every time I saw him in trailers for Joss Whedon’s Justice League. He just annoyed the hell out of me. I absolutely love how Zack Synder utilized Jason Momoa as Aquaman. He actually made me wanna give watching Aquaman a try. Even though it has a different director. It was nice to see Ben Affleck looking good and in shape. In the final epilogue scene with Martian Manhunter. Would have been great to see J’on Jonzz in combat. But it was really nice to see him behaving like he was in Bruce Timm Justice League Universe. Which I still love to this day. Justice League: Unlimited baby! Gal Gadot was outstanding as Wonder Woman. Cyborg got the screen time that he deserved. Still not a fan of Sadistic Superman, brought to us by Zack Synder. It begin with Man of Steel when he was smiling wickedly as Zod’s super-senses was giving him immense pain. Then in Zack Synder’s Justice League. The way he was about to kill The Flash & The Batman was really hard to watch. And how he kept pummeling Steppenwolf, with a smile on his face; without ever asking him to surrender or yield. Was incredibly disturbing. I can understand someone getting sadistic against someone who hurt them or their loved ones. But Superman has no history with Steppenwolf. So it’s clear that this Superman just gets sadistic for sadistic sake. And that’s disgusting. Along with the way Superman aided Aquaman and Wonder Woman in murdering Steppenwolf. Aren’t superheroes suppose to behave a whole lot better than their supervillain’s? Isn’t that the point of being a superhero?

I loved the film. Really enjoyed the 4:3 aspect ratio and hope more films adopt it. Characters feel like they belong in this shared version of the universe. The dialogue between Batman and the Joker really makes it seem like there is history there and wish I could received more. My criticism of the film is with it's music. I loved the soundtrack, don't get me wrong, but some tracks were put in scenes that really didn't fit(a rock track when you find an ID?). My fiancee found the music to clash with the scenes more than a few times which really brought down the films score imo. Other than that though, the film is a masterclass of film making. I will be purchasing it on 4K Blu Ray for sure!

@@smammam3663 nah... Both movies were about the same damn thing. Preventing the terraforming of planet Earth 🌎 into an alien 👽 world. So it’s just as bad as Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, in that respect. Both films repeat 🔁 the first film in their franchise but Zack Snyder’s Justice League has a lot more interesting characters to play with than Man of Steel had. I love Faora-Ul from MOS. And all of Clark Kent’s flashback scenes were great but other than that. MOS is very forgettable to me. But ZS really found his voice and some balance with JL. MOS & BvS were almost completely void of any humor or levity. But Zack Snyder’s Justice League didn’t have that problem.

The scene where his dad explains what he can do was one of my favorite scenes. The whole movie was amazing. We deserved it, Zack deserved it, the cast deserved it and this is something they should be very proud of. I liked the tone of MOS and BvS and I’m happy they were able to still capture it while being a new movie as well.

I loved that for the first half of the movie is mostly a unstoppable badass, but when darkseid wants to speak to him he instantly drops is armour past his shoulders like a dog showing its belly and submitting to the alpha.. And there is no hate behind it he legit wants to be back in darkseids good graces.. Makes me wonder if his severed head was alive long enough to realise darkseid didn't care one bit if he lived or died

Batman forms the team because he was inspired by superman, He breaks the barrier and holds the line for Flash, who is needed for cyborg to power up enough energy to get to the motherbox, and Cyborg needs cover from steppen wolf which wonder woman does, even aquaman as an added muscle was a big help plus the league would have died in the tunnels if it weren't for him. And of course Cyborg would have been cut in half if it weren't for Superman who was revived by the league.

The one reason why I absolutely love this film is because of its simple nature. Zach never abandoned an idea, he never stepped over the boundaries, he didn’t replace the villain, etc. He stuck with the themes and characters presented in the original film and expanded on them. Steppenwolf in 2017 was a bland, grey villain who wanted to destroy the world with the unity for whatever reason. Steppenwolf in 2021 is a man committing evil acts just to lay eyes on his home again. He’s constantly looked down upon by his overseers and bows in front of his army. He’s sympathetic, layered. Same with Cyborg. He’s barely a character in 2017 and in 2021, he’s the heart of the film with a distinct character arc. Expansion. It’s the perfect example of a directors cut and I am so glad I got to witness it unfold.

i think in 2017 Steppenwolf did ONCE mention "For Darkseid". the only time i heard and finally made the connection. because i did knew a bit about him from the comics. for a casual person to see the movie, nothing would make any sense. Steppenwolf would be a villain with his own agenda, to probably destroy the world, although for what reason, nobody knows. or just assume there is no reason because... the villain is just that bland.

It was bloated and self-indulgent. It was at least 40 minutes longer than necessary to tell the complete story and much o that time was because it had far too many tedious slo-mo shots in it. I always wonder what Snyder's original plan was going to be to cut a 2.5 (or even a 3) hour movie out of it and still preserve a coherent story. I suspect he didn't have one. Fortunately I don't think that there is any danger of WB asking Snyder back to shoot another DC movie (or Whedon either, for that matter)

Flash was the coolest character in there, he has similar motivations to Steppenwolf, he wants to please, be part of a band and step away from loneliness. Barry's father just want to see his son grow and still tries to be the cool father figure even though he's behind bar. The movie shows that beyond the superpowers, their loved ones are able to show some kind of path to make them even better.

Best moments for each hero for me was. Flash: breaking his rule and rewinding time. Batman: telling Alfred he has faith. Cyborg: giving the girl the prize money into her bank account. The film’s overarching theme of fatherhood and how deeply it explores it through their heroes’ journeys is done exceptionally well - especially they way Cyborg and Flash’s arcs are fleshed out. It’s very gut wrenching and emotional at times. Cyborg’s line “I’m not broken. I’m not alone.” is the most heartbreaking because it’s like Zack is talking to his daughter through that line. I’m so happy him and Deborah got to realize their vision and create this beautiful film for us. I don’t think people will ever forget about this film - and it might have just revolutionized the genre and industry as a whole.

I haven't seen it yet, but I remember not loving Man of Steel on first and second watch. I liked it enough because it was Superman. But, my third watch something changed. I got it. I began to love it. BvS I loved right away, because I was already passed my childhood expectations. To me, that film (BvS UE) is a misunderstood masterpiece. I can't wait to watch this. I hope they continue this story, because the through line of the 5 film arc was centered around Superman and his development. Great review!! #restorethesnyderverse

BvS is still my favorite of the 3, mostly because I love vibe of that movie as well as it being a Superman/Batman story. JL makes me want the snyderverse to continue, because I know the 5th film would have been a more direct sequel to MOS and completed Superman's arc.

I just finished it ten minutes ago, and I'm not going to lie, this is one of the best movies I've seen in a while. I cried a little bit when I saw the dedication, and I am now completely on board the DCEU hype train. Flash was my favorite character, but Cyborg had the best character moments, and Superman had the best action. I also love the way they fleshed out Stephenwolf as a character, and gave him an actual motivation. This movie was epic, no better way to say it.

The real Justice League (ZSJL) is a beautiful movie on so many levels. The connection that Zack Snyder has to the characters of DC goes beyond being a fan/storyteller. These characters are heroes because of the tragedy that they overcome. Being an adoptive parent like Zack Snyder ties him spiritually to the plight of orphans and children who have lost parents. Like Superman, Batman, Flash, Cyborg, Aquaman, etc. In many ways, it makes Zack's loss of Autumn all the more tragic. I can't think of a more perfect director than Snyder to tell this story.

The thing that makes me go crazy and i dont see much people talking about it is the fact that lois is pregnant, at the end we can see her and mama kent with a baby basket, that confirm what we suspect in the scene where she looks at the pregnancy test. Snyder cut: the better cut. The only cut. The Snyder cut is the film we deserve. I actually cared about the characters, about their stories. I never have cared when it came to DC films. Now, I not only hold the Snyder cut as my favorite DC film, it reached my top three, alongside LOTR, and the Avatar films (all not yet released). This film is a work of art. It had moments that all films have, but that is part of the perfection. I'll be watching this film many more times. I hope to see more from this universe!
