You're absolutely right, and I'm a bit ashamed that I even managed to forget about that. Her performance of "Glitter in the Air" at the 2010 Grammy's is one of the most unbelievably stunning performances I've ever seen....and made even better by her telling Ellen that she'd never felt quite welcomed among that crowd, so what does she do? She belts out while soaking wet and spinning from silks thirty feet above them all. A performance so stunning and masterful that not a person there even seemed to remember they were wearing gowns lent to them by the fashion houses that shouldn't even _see_ water. She came down from the ceiling in such a Christ-like pose and took a bow that said "Yep. Try to top _that."_

Have you ever thought about how difficult it is to sing while moving like that?! Until then I thought it was almost impossible but Cynthia had the audacity to prove otherwise and she brings the audacity and power that Elphaba has, this similarity with her character makes her interpretation and even better performance and more engaging for your own brand. i saw an interview where she talked about the collaborative process between her, the stunt coordinator, and the vocal coach to help her find her placement, support, and breath as she flies around since usually when she sings she's used to be grounded. but nonetheless it really feels like a testament to who she is, her work ethic, talent, and commitment to bringing Elphaba to life. truly unbelievable. i can't help but getemotional 😭

I do hope Universal makes millions with Wicked, so that they repeat the same advertising campaign for the second part. Wicked deserves it. I wanna be in my sixties going to Broadway to see Wicked and remember the first time I saw it, in my twenties. For me, no musical can beat it. It's just the best one. I've seen it 5 times in the theater and I can't wait to see it again in January. This time it'll be my first time seeing it in the West End. Last but not least, if you've gone to New York City and you haven't seen Wicked, you haven't been to NYC. It's just the most magical experience one can ever have. You leave the Gershwin mesmerized and ready to fight for what's right, if you see what I mean.
