I got the BE800 TP Link on a good sale. $389 and it’s really fast. I only had one issue where the 5ghz band just wouldn’t work at all. After I fixed that, it’s been good so far. Still in return period to put to test.

I have the same routers/ access points now, I caught a great sale at Amazon a month ago. Make sure you turn on MLO it allows you to use two bands at the same time, but you have to use wired back haul to enable it, I do believe. I'm itching to upgrade my fiber to 2.5 as well. Great video
@TechWithBrett6 ай бұрын
I did play with MLO but will need to look more into it. I'm still waiting for my ISP to get back to me. 2.5 I definitely overkill for us but I want to give it a try.
@dany3766 ай бұрын
@TechWithBrett oh ok, yeah my ISP has a $500 install cost for multi gig (2.5 and up) then just $145 a month. They consider it a business drop, independent connection with upgraded media converter and managed router.

I was surprised that ours is only a slight price upgrade to what we pay. 10GB is business class and then gets super pricey.

I have a Deco X55 which I'm going to be replacing with a better model (BE63). One of the things that concerns me even in seeing this in your video is the speed between the router and hubs is what seems like slow speed. Fluctuating between maybe 1.7 Mbps down to speeds at Kbps. What's the deal with these slow speeds, and is there a way to get those speeds faster?

I'm about to update to these too, and use google home. I need to change the router password for other reasons; I have many devices. What would be the easiest way with respect to ease of updating all devices.
@TechWithBrettАй бұрын
The easiest it to just name the new network the exact same name and password as the old network. This will then allow all existing devices to automatically connect to the new network. Then you just need to reboot any devices that aren't connecting properly.

It depends on how much square footage you have. If it is just the basement then mostly likely the one pack should work.

Hey Brett, great video! Question, I have the BE95 and my setup is very similar. Did you ever wire backhaul the satellites? If so, did you connect directly to the main mesh unit or to your switch?

I paid attention to the TP Link Deco XE Mesh System for quite a while, because I am looking to upgrade to XE65/XE75/XE85 mesh system. I think ALL KZbinrs are 【boast / swank】 , showing their internet speed download SO HIGH , upload SO HIGH As we all know, MODEM have to tige up with ROUTER. Any change of the ROUTER must match with specific type of the MODEM. Sadly, KZbinrs never indicate which type/what brand of the MODEM using to test with the specific wifi 6/wifi 7 Mesh System to obtained THAT high SPEED !

Depends on the issue, if you have an old router that doesn't reach places in your home, it can help with range and sustaining the best speeds over distance. It can also help if you have local wired devices with 2.5G network interfaces (like gaming computers or higher end NAS devices). But generally, no, it won't make a huge difference if you have crappy internet
