I’m out in the bush right now drinking coffee was a rainy weekend now it’s sunny so decided to stay another day here wish I could post a picture it’s nice little spot in the mountains on a lake. Looks like a nice camp! I'm glad that I'm not the only one who has to haul all of my water out with me when I go on wildland camps! I usually have some sort of water not too far away, but here in Kansas I don't trust it.....too likely to have some sort of agricultural contamination from fertilizer or something else. I always like how I can just gather and boil stream water when I'm up in tbe mountains. Shoot, on canoe trips up in Canada, we used to just directly drink water out of the rivers and lakes. Giardia wasn't ever a problem for us.

Great video Becky and glad to see you getting some practice with the bow, I think I'll be ordering a few bits for myself next week :-) I will say that I think you should really be using a finger glove. when I was younger I worked on a farm for a few years and by the end of baling season my finger tips would feel very tingly and at times very painful without having any signs of injury or bruising. I'm not trying to scare you but I believe that over time this can lead to permanent nerve damage so it's probably best if you can just try and get used to wearing one from the start :-)

Are there no deer hunters out and about? The tree stand doesn't look like it's been there very long. If I'm not mistaken England and Wales is right in the middle of their stag and buck hunting season right now. It might be prudent to wear orange. -- The audio on much of this video was so low that even with my volume cranked all the way up I couldn't make out what you were saying.

Archery is a lifetime sport and can actually extend YOUR lifetime...so take your time learning because it is just as much about your body and muscles learning as it is about your mind learning the form :) ......As your muscles learn, your draw-length will increase adding more power behind each arrow......and also changing their point of impact.....do not be discouraged by what appears to be inconsistancy....the ONLY CONSTANT in this Universe is CHANGE :) I send love and hugs to Becky and Louise from the Great Smoky Mountains being visited by the wet wings of tropical storm Florence ^^~*^^

Awesome! You and Louise have base-camp nailed down...no problem :) Between the two sisters you are impeccable! Dear Becky, since you are just beginning with your bow you are by default "over-bowed" and your muscles and muscle-memory will take time to learn. You should protect your drawing fingers from the string or it will stop you from progressing (archery is not painful by design). You and Survival Lily are both over-bowed (too much drawing weight) and when you begin to get tired you both tend to slightly drop your bow hand (your right hand and her left hand, the HAND holding the bow and not the string) causing low hits on the target and either more right or left hits depending upon your arrow draw hand. ...to be continued :)
