On the claim that Israel needs to retaliate: Iran's strike was in response to Israel targeting the Iranian embassy in Syria and killing Syrians. Israel didn't have to escalate its conflict with Iran like that.

Israel's strike was in response to Iran funding Hamas and targeting Israeli civilians on the October attack. It is well known that Hamas is just a proxy of the Iranian government just like Hezbollah. Iran didn't have to escalate their conflict with Israel like that.

Marjorie Taylor Green put a poison pill amendment into the Ukrainian bill with Putin/Orban talking points. And Ukraine is not the only one chagrined about the U.S. and our allies protecting Israeli air space when Ukraine is in EUROPE and we signed the Budapest Agreement with them,. Our support of Ukraine should also be iron clad.

omg it is horrendous to think about this. How is it it not clear to U.S. that Ukraine is owed our defense as much--maybe more than Israel b/c of the Budapest Memorandum! Y is this never mentioned? It is just ignored or erased as a lawfully signed agreement on U.S.'s, Britain's AND Putin's part. We know Putin doesn't giv a crap about official/lawful agreements just like Hitler in the late 30's. How can we just ignore our official commitments!?

I'm no fan of the Iranian government, but to be fair... the current Iranian government is a break from the initial post-Shah government. The Iranian president of the government that took the U.S. embassy ended up in exile. Also, taking hostages is not equivalent to bombing. And to Linda Chavez: Did you expect Iran to do nothing when their embassy was bombed? Their telegraphing their intentions was clearly a way for them to frame their attack as a response, not an escalation into war--which is what you're apparently advocating.

Hi -I took it as it was good to support in the defense and that is was a risk putting our soldiers out there. I also don’t think Biden looked weak, he meant we defeated them, their guys were shot down take the win, to not head into another unimaginable war.
