I'm very convinced too. 2 questions I keep asking myself tho is why they say he was literature when he wrote numerous letters to the governor that we all know of and can see. Then is the man doesn't look old enough to be the Kid. He looks 70s not 90s that they say he was when died the second time. He just don't look born in 1850 something. What's your thoughts on that. Between the gun shot scares and the facial recognition test that said that he was a 95 percent chance of being the kid I'm leaning towards him being the kid as well! I don't think a nutcase is going to scare himself with knife wounds and gun shot wounds just to claim that he is the kid! What we need is a DNA test to confirm the truth! What I don't get is why people are blocking the DNA test?

I don't know if Brushy is a Fraud or not but his story is very interesting, and he risked capital punishment coming forward. Either the man was an old loon who wanted attention or he really was Billy the kid, and he never got his pardon. I would like to point out that there was no internet back then, and Libraries were limited on the information that could be obtained. How did Brushy Bill learn so much about the Kid without having some kind of association with him?

Billy the kid could read and write 2 known letters written by Billy to the NM Governor exist. Brushy Bill could also read and write. I don't know if Brushy was Billy and with DNA we could possibly find out. I have doubts due to Brushy's chin being distinct and not the same as Billy's known picture but it sure would be nice to find the definitive answer

Ricardo Abreu I’ve just looked on line and so far I couldn’t confirm the missing of Billy’s mom’s body. As a matter of fact I found pics of her grave with gravestone and it appears to be of the correct time and no one has mentioned anything anywhere that her grave was ever disturbed.

@@ricardoabreu4997 The cemetary in Ft Sumner was flooded and many of the graves were washed up. There is no certainty that the "Pals" grave even contains any remains let alone the remains of Bowdre, O'Folliat or BTK. There has always been resistance from the Ft Sumner citizenry to requests to exhume the remains for fear they may lose a major tourist attraction. However, the location of Brushy Bill Robert's (alias BTK) is known and DNA could be obtained. But there would be nothing to compare DNA with as the grave location of BTK's supposed mother, I say "supposed" because Brushy Bill's story has him being raised by his "Aunt Bonney" after his mother Katherin ROBERTS died. It is my opinion that BTK was shot by Pat Garrett and lies, somewhere, in the Fort Sumner cemetary.

I don't know that there are any BTK relatives to obtain DNA from. Although there is a grave stone for his "mother", there is uncertainty that it is actually his "mother", Catherine. The original cemetery was purchased for development and the graves moved to another location by the developer and the accuracy of the record keeping is questionable. BTK supposedly, had a brother who has disappeared into history.

DNA can be obtained from his mother Catherine, his brother Joseph (Josey), or his sister Bridgette and her four children. However, if it's proven that the Kid is not buried in NM, it loses lots of money and becomes just a long state to drive through.

Here is eye witness testament on the night Garrett shot the kid: Jesus Silva- (Fort Sumner resident and friend, commenting on the events that led to the killing of Billy the Kid. An interview with Jack Hull 1937) “ It was the night of July 14, 1881. It had been a hot day throughout the valley and Mesa Redondo country. I had strolled over to a neighbor’s house and on my return had stopped under a Cottonwood tree for a moment, when the Kid, whom I had known for some time, strolled up. He had just ridden into town. He was hot and tired and we drank beer together. He told me he was hungry and that he was going to the home of Don Pedro Maxwell for a cut of fresh beef for his supper, which was being prepared at a nearby house. We asked permission to remove the body, Pete Maxwell suggesting removal to the old carpenter’s shop. We laid the body on the carpenter’s bench and placed candles around the corpse.” Shortly before the Kid was killed... “We had heard strange voices coming from the peach orchard but had given no thought to who it might be. If we had, the Kid’s life might have been saved. It was Pat Garrett and his two deputies. Billy would not have walked into the trap laid for him. Someone in Fort Sumner must have given Billy away.” “I have heard reports which say that Billy the Kid is still alive. I know that Pat Garrett killed the Kid on July 14, 1881, in Pete Maxwell’s bedroom. It's actually a mistake of Tunstill to assert Brushy Bill Roberts couldn't read or write, because he could. It's a misunderstanding of what Morrison dictated in his notes. He meant that Roberts wasn't a literary man, meaning that he wasn't in the habit of reading, though he could read.

Bill Allison and Albion Arlo Norman ended up with a majority of Bill's possessions after the death of Roberts' wife, Malinda. Unfortunately, after both men passed, the materials got scattered amongst both men's descendants. I plan on going into greater detail on this in a future video, as both Bill Tunstill and Bob Hefner told me of their attempts to obtain the items and place them in the museum in Hico.

Dr. Tunstill was mistaken when he said this. I did a video where I show samples of Roberts' handwriting taken from his notebooks and letters he had written. I also show a poem he wrote. He also signed all three of his marriage certificates. All of this is a moot point, though, because every forensic document examiner that I'm aware of have determined that all the purported letters written by Billy were all written by different people. There is a lot of misinformation out there about J. Frank Dalton, most of which is completely unsubstantiated. @@brushybret Id love to talk about it. So here’s my biggest argument that’s very concrete. Zee! Jesse’s poor widow. Look at the picture of her and her two children, that is the look of a woman grieving, that lost the love of her life. She never recovered from his death and it’s clear with historical evidence that her and those two children were not another man’s family “Bigelow” but in fact apart of The James family. The corpse pulled from the grave had bullet in rib cage area “another historical fact Jesse shot in lung while surrendering during civil war” he never had the bullet removed and caused his lots of health issues near end of his life. Plus the lengths his mother went through to protect his corpse from grave robbers. Charlie Ford suicide, Robert Fords life after the assassination. Pictures of corpse. The governor’s son helped take care of the family. Frank acquittal after Jesse assassination. I wish I could have coffee over it because I could go on and on with argument against him versus argument for him. J Frank Dalton most likely wasn’t even his real name and Jesse James damn sure wasn’t his real name. I personally think he was an old man with no family, broke and wanted to be noticed and luckily looked the age or was of someone born in 1840’s and wanted to capitalize and not die a poor lonely man in obscurity like Joseph McCarty in Denver.

Brushy Bill's story I "Kinda" believe....or let's say that I "Find It Believable" As for the whole J. Frank Dalton Thing. He first gained notoriety by Proclaiming himself to be Famous Lawman "Frank Dalton" in the early & mid 1940s. This was Factually disproved. Then Suddenly in 1948 Dalton Remembered that he was Actually In Fact the famous outlaw Jesse James......Sure, Sure He also magically "Regrew" the tip of the middle finger on his Left Hand that " The Real Jesse" had shot off by accident, and gotten the nickname "Dingus" in the process. Dalton was also asked who "Red Fox" was. Dalton stated that Red Fox was a Cherokee Scout for Jesse............In Fact Red Fox was one of, if not The Best Race Horse that Jesse owned. Dalton was a Con Man demanding Attention & A Few Bucks Too, I suspect....Brushy Bill wanted no notoriety, or at least appeared Not to seek The Lime Light. That's my Semi-Educated opinion based on a 40+ years of reading every "Non Fiction" book about The James Boys, Their Lives, Family & Exploits that I could lay hands on. I also visited The James/Samuel Family Home, where both Jesse & Frank grew up & Frank Died there in 1915, The James Grave sites in Kearney Mo. and The Murder House in St. Joseph Mo. in the Mid 1980s. I stood outside the window that The Pinkertons threw the Bomb thru killing their 8 Yr.Old Half Brother Archie & blowing their Mother's Right Arm off Below Her Elbow....An Eerie Experience for me & I was able to tour the inside of their Family home & see the bed where Frank Died, and also toured the "Murder House". I have tried to compare Brushy Bill's photos to BTKs photos and could not find much of a resemblence. The only thing that came close was the ears and that was still not a complete match because the bottom of Brushy's ear lobes were not the same as BTKs. I understand that facial features change within time, however the facial features of Brushy Bill's to being what was once BTKs are not convincing.
