He's from the South. But yeah, agreed, certainly not a character flaw to speak with purpose. Funny to me when people act like Ben Shapiro is saying something clever because he's rattling off buzzwords at 60 BPM, like a mildly sentient gerbil. Your words either have meaning, or they don't, regardless of how fast you get them out. And your acting, and this may apparently come as a surprise to some in the psychiatric field, has no bearing on your own articulation, character, or thoughts. That's why they get paid, to ACT like someone else.
@jakublizon6375
@jakublizon6375 2 жыл бұрын
@@dishonoredundead Ben Shapiro is an idiot. He's just a smug tryst fund kid that thinks the faster he talks the more intelligent he sounds. His arguments are nothing short of ridiculous. Just the other day, Shapiro so graciously explained how the bigoted great replacement theory, drilled into the heads of racist conservatives by racist Tucker Carlson, is actually "leftist". Wanna know why? Because the conspiracy theory acknowledges race exists... Which is leftist apparently.

Actually, I imagine Camille would've loved to have been doing the cross and sinking her teeth into Spiegel here...especially because this examiner is quite lame with his habitual comebacks of "ok" and "alright". I think Spiegel was attempting to stroke the examiner's ego when he complemented his processing speed. He is slow. I suspect Camille would've tore Spiegel to pieces.
@dom6637
@dom6637 2 жыл бұрын
@@theotheoth Spiegel did get torn to pieces and this is a fantastic example of how you can prove your point without giving away to the person being questioned that every answer he's giving has been ruining his credibility. He's not lame, he's just not as exciting for you to watch. It's crazy how a court case has become publicised to the point where one of Johnny's lawyers actually has a fanbase.

JD lawyer that is doing the cross examination is a genius at his profession. The witness told him by listening to you right now I can judge that your processing speed is not slow. Now, listen to the next first sentence JD lawyer said after laughing at what just the witness said to him ( just give the witness a sense of calmness, relaxation and not worry about a counter-attack ) Now, watch JD lawyer body language after the second sentence “ Willy Wonka doesn’t matter to you “ He confused him, intimidated him using his body language, got him lost for few second there and then proved that the witness himself suffering from slow processing speed. And now we move on to the next question

this was absolutely the funniest thing to come out of this trial. the entire subject matter is hilarious, he analyzed Johnny based on looking only at his movies and commercials (pirate movies). the small things add up too. the lawyer treating him like he's stupid with lines like "pirate movies", "willy wonka", "you don't know enough about acting to know that actors rehearse??" (to which he absolutely confirms his stupidity immediately afterward). his weird mouth movements (seen them described as Adderall mouth movements). him asking the judge if he has to answer the willy wonka question to which she responds matter of factly that you do indeed need to answer questions when being examined. johnny and his legal team looking absolutely dumbfounded and trying not to lose it. this is the first video from this case to get me consistently laughing throughout the whole thing

He does NOT represent all of us, most of us, and certainly NOT those of us who adhere to the strict guidelines of our profession regarding diagnosing and imparting professional opinions. But if I wanted to act like him, I could say that he is exhibiting signs of disinhibition, some grossly disorganized behavior, circumstantial thought process, psychomotor agitation-and very prominent frontal release signs-all of which are concerning for a possible early fronto-temporal dementia (pick’s disease) or maybe due to a substance, including those prescribed. BUT I WOULD NEVER PROVIDE THAT AS TESTIMONY OR AS MT PROFESSIONAL OPINION. It is an observation based on limited data and very little can be concluded on my observation unless the person is examined.

“I am not an expert in acting. I have no idea what an actor does” 4:40 I'm pretty sure it’s basic knowledge that actors work hard to nail the language and diction of their characters to make it more believable on screen. If the doc has seen Mr. Deep interviews as he’s claimed than I'm sure he would've heard Mr. Deep talking about getting into the role of whatever character he's playing like most actors/actresses do.

@@nataliajaf Dr Spiegel was giving his "professional" opinions of Johnny Depp based off of Depp's films and he described Depp as having a "slow processing speed". It just so happens that Depp played as Willy Wonka back in the 2005 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie and it serves as a counterargument for the lawyer - since this portrayal by Depp was witty and "not slow". This cornered Spiegel because if he admitted to having seen Charlie and the Chocolate factory, then it opens the argument as to why that depiction of Depp wasn't accounted for. If Spiegel answers no, then he was ignorant of Depp's works and that lessens the credibility of his testimony. So it was a damned-if-you-do-damned-if-you-don't moment for the doctor.

@@tautwenty I might add that the jury, being regular people, certainly understood right away that profiling an actor based on his character is what some would call a "small brain move". Dismantling that argument wasn't even really necessary. What a floor swipe.
