This install is very similar if not the same to other brands like StopTech, Brembo and so on. The great thing about upgrading your brakes is that they are helpful both on road and off-road unlike other parts that only offer off-road performance. If you're looking for more stopping power, skip the line and just jump into new pads, rotors, calipers, add pistons and steel braided brake lines. If your towing, adding a lot of weight to your truck, increasing tire size or weight, I recommend looking into also increasing your braking performance both on road and off-road.

I’m looking into other options. Since rear brakes are so expensive if I ever go that route I minus well beef up the rear axle with something already ready for discs. I’ll keep u posted

2 trips this winter where others had brakes overheating, easy to smell. Every stop, I could touch my rotors but most rig brakes were hot. I’d say they work great 💪🏼 I wish I could see your supercharged 4Runner 🤯

Yea the rears I just can’t justify the labor costs. Might look into the tools so I can do it myself but so far I have not found a need other than it is always safer. But I do plan on rears one day.

This is the way to go with a two part hat. What was your disc thickness and rotor diameter.? The wheels have to clear the rotors … I’m pretty sure mine are 16s..and will have to go larger….great install….I will have to get a second job to to cover costs…$$$$

Aw man I don’t remember the specs, I should have included them but these were made for 17” wheels and the clearance was pretty close. Real use, i went down a mountain in my backyard and usually the fronts overheat if I’m not careful. After changing the fronts no problems at all, not something I worry about anymore and the little drums in the back still keep up so I’ll keep them around.

@@AdventureSquadOverland Not exactly sure you of a single incident. I am running 35's and 5.29 gears, so I think the extra torque and leverage of bigger tires were too much for the brake based traction control limited slip. I could smell the brakes after just a short time off roading
