Psychologists discovered as far back as the nineties that the 90-minute dream cycle continues while you are awake. Daydreaming activity peaks every 90 minutes, on the same cycle as nighttime dreaming. The way to determine your cycle is to log the times when you wake up from a dream. Those are your peaks. Also, make a note of the times when you find yourself "waking up" from a spontaneous daydream during the day. I wish I could remember the name of the book; it's buried somewhere deep in my storage.

Hi dear Wim! I need your advice. I am 47. Four weeks ago whole my family fell ill with a strange cold (possibly соvd). We’ve take a course of antibiotics in the second week of the disease, but did not recover. We are on the small island and there is no normal medicine here. It all started with a sore throat and a runny nose, temperature up to 37.6. I founded and started WHM two weeks ago. Only breathing, since we are in the tropics and a cold shower is +25:-). My current state: a slight congestion of the sinus, and the temperature during the day jumps from 36.2 to 37.5. But I am concerned about tingling all over my body (hands, feet, especially face and tongue) all day long. Could these symptoms be caused by WHM? I do 3 rounds in the morning and 3 rounds in the evening. Average retention 3:10. Should I continue WHM? Many thanks!

Hi Wim I've been doing the breathing & cold showers since 1st November last year. I started this to deal with stress and its working. However, I can't get my son who suffers from depression to believe in this. The depression is ruining his life but he insists people should not have to do your methods to feel better. The doctors have him believing in medicine. Maybe now you can see why I'm stressed. My son has tried to take his own life twice and has been in and out of Hospital for the past 4 years. I believe your techniques will cure his disorder. My son won't take my advice & this is hurting me so much having to watch his endless cycle. WTF can I do ? Any suggestions ?

I’m not Wim, but the way I have been approaching it is to say “I can spend ten minutes telling you about it or you can take ten minutes and feel for yourself.” This is working for me so far, coupled with genuine enthusiasm for this gift from nature courtesy of Mr. Hof🌲💜 Much love unto you and your son🙏🏻

@yummypasta923 жыл бұрын
Hi I'm really sorry you are going through this. My opinion is that he will feel more isolated from you if you keep telling him he should do this or that because it will make him think that he is doing something wrong or there is something wrong with him. If he is depressed or suicidal it is best to not make him feel this way at all. It must hurt a lot for you and you want to help him desperately but... breathing techniques and cold showers are healthy but Wim Hof method mostly works if you believe in it, and unfortunately some people will never believe in it, and you have to accept that. It does Not help if you just keep telling him about the benefits, trust me. There is one thing you can do for him, it is to be there for him and support him no matter what his decisions and really listen to him deeply and accept him for who he is at this moment in time. Most of us want love, support and acceptance, NOT advice. Receiving advice left right and centre can push someone into suicide, because they feel that all people care about is a "healthy" version of them and no one accepts or loves the messed up version, so they think they may as well stop existing. Yes it may sound like a strange way of thinking but their brain has become wired to make them think like that. Instead of thinking about how to convince him about a specific method, I would start thinking about how much love you can help him feel. If you keep pushing your own view about what will help him it will only push him away. Your unconditional support and acceptance is the only thing that you can do to, and the rest is up to him. Please support him but do not try to control him. You can always support, but to control is impossible and toxic, so I would try to be mindful of the difference. Please also take care of yourself and practice self-compassion, your own mental well-being is important to have the capacity of acceptance and love for others too. You clearly care for your son so you have more than enough capacity for it. I am Sending you and your son love and prayers.

lucid dreams are wonderful, but I understand about wanting to be in control of the astral projection... I've had wonderful and terrifying experiences so hate it when they happen spontaniously as you never know which one it'll be!

If your room is significantly colder than 18 Celsius, you might have health issues. That's science so far. Exposure to cold can be healthy, but I am not sure about this sleeping with windows open in winter.

Questions for Wim 😀🙏 1. What is your opinion on bineural beats? Healing with sound frequency etc. 2. Do you believe "new age" is dangerous? 3. How did you find your "truth" with so much contradictory information around?

Hey Wim, can you influence Tinnitus with your method? Since I have Complex PTSD I hear it all the time very hard..
@GazanfervonderBarut3 жыл бұрын
I worship Wim like an ancestral figure but man be careful. Wim Hof Method is known to cause tinnitus. You might worsen your problem. The best thing to do is try yourself though. Test it. If it gets worse you can just quit. Wish you the best.
