Here's something I've never seen a channel cover before - Boarding ladders and/or platforms. Dinghies - done, but the other thing for people without a sugar scoop or cat, never seen it and it's used EVERY time we get on or off the boat when cruising.

@@WindHippieSailing Fair call, and your still quite young. My last boat was a 28ér, but the current is 43' and a higher side in that scale [ Roberts 43 ] so it's more of a thing now. Just as an exercise, try pulling yourself up and over the lifelines as if you were washed over board. Add a bad sea or the need to pull yourself against a current equal to boat speed and..... you'd drown, you couldn't physically do it. Life lines should not let you go overboard - sorry for beig a Debbie downer [ I'm 58 ] but it will cost your life and strange things happen.

And most emphatically I regularly enjoy what is available from your incredible journey about the oceans and seas. Happy New Year little darling. May your God bless you and the path you choose to follow. I couldn't do that and I'm a landlocked hedonist with grand aspiration and high expectations upon myself. Lastly , therefore you are a real Champion.
