Thank you for this video. This could actually solve a problem we have when it comes to external access (which now comes from unknown clients) to our internal systems. Today we use AVD, but we do not like that they come from clients we know nothing about, and it would be too expensive to buy full clients for them. 349$ is more possible.

My pleasure :) I can definitely see full clients being too expensive, but you could also check out thin clients from Igel, 10zig or Wyse if you feel $349 is still too much

Thanks Petter, Great video! It would have been great if the Windows 365 link could connect to Azure AVD's as well.

Thanks man :) Agree that support for AVD would be great. And Dev Box as well

How is this different from modern wyse thin clients?

On paper, the main benefit would be management from Intune. I’m curious to see the performance, but at this point I would say that if your org currently has a large fleet of Wyse devices and you’re happy with them then there’s no rush to switch to the Link

@@PetterTech , I guess that's why this product is very confusing. You said it yourself: There isn't much to do with it in Intune. It seems like a very niche, very specific use case product that's being presented as something mass market. I really would love to see someone explain the full benefits of this over wyse thin clients.

Great video. Seems like they've done a half job. I do wonder who they're targeting this at.

I can't speak for Microsoft, but I feel one good target would be orgs that has a lot of shared desks. Seems like they are currently targeting a very broad specter and that might possibly be narrowed later on as they learn more about how the product is received by the public. But I'm curious as to what you mean by a half job. Not that I feel it is perfect, there's definitly room for improvement. But is it the lack of support for AVD or Dev Box, is it the lack of support for dock or other things?

Can't see this device selling well.

That’s a fair opinion. I’m curious to its future popularity as well. What makes you think it’ll be a bust?

So you pay $349 upfront just for the privilege of subscribing to Microsoft? And if you don't, congrats - you've bought yourself a fancy paperweight?

That’s kinda how thin clients work, yes. If you don’t have anything to connect to then they’re useless
