She doesn't freak out when you make a mistake. (Bonus: If it's your second time making the same mistake) 4. She encourages you to follow your passions and hobbies. (Bonus: She sacrifices her time with you for you to do that) 5. She has a full life with friends and hobbies. (Bonus: She doesn't rely on you for all her happiness) 6. She lifts your spirits when you're down . 9. She's your biggest cheerleader when you win in life. 10. She loves the way you're a man. (Bonus: She sees your "masculine-based flaws" as cute quirks) 11. She's generous with her attention and affection but isn't needy or clingy. 12. She looks for peaceful resolution and wants to understand your side. 13. I've been Married for fifteen years. I've noticed in my generation especially that as a woman, from early childhood on we were trained to expect happily ever after. It wasn't until i met his mother and other sister in laws that i realized i had no realistic role models for women growing up and that most of what i was taught to expect was actually ABUSIVE in my relationship. In work, i knew to emulate the most successful and when it occurred to me to applythat mindset to my marriage, not only did our fighting almost completely vanish, but i noticed that he reciprocated fiercely, and our love that was always SOLID was now PASSIONATE. his priority became me and mine became him when before it was always 'what about me?'. The first few years figuring one another out are difficult for any couple. But when our priorities are in order and our ability to grow and learn is valued by both our partner and ourselves, a kind of solidarity that when held as dearly as all the reasons you fell in love in the first place, means any obstacle you encounter won't stand a snowball's chance!

@@bonnienedza55 The woman was a 31 and I was 40 at the time, 30 years ago. She was a fashion designer and had been a well known model before aging out. The tone of voice with which she dismissed him rang warning bells and any benefit of the doubt was lost so thoughts of seeing her again evaporated. I was in the music industry but also owned an elegant fashion store that featured less established new designers and she had attended a charity fashion show we sponsored. I liked her leather jacket designs and was taken by her beauty. Apparently, she realized she blew it so she sent a dozen white carnations to my office. I responded politely but did not continue any contact with her. I did not start dating until I was well established at 23 so I was a little more selective than my cohorts in HS or college, already having successful businesses and had already visited 2 dozen countries so I had experience with a range of cultures and customs for social interaction. I was very easy going without demands on anyone but I did not waste time with people who were aggressive, pushy or entitled. I famously kicked a top star out of my recording studio because he was aggressive to one of the female staff, midway through his album. The incident created a stir in the press but he promises to ruin me and his trying to finish it in his own studio failed and never had any success again, after 3 straight gold albums we did for him. I currently live in a country where manners mean a lot, so dating is a lot less a minefield than back in the US.

"Can someone love me better?" Have to disagree on this one. Because the answer is always "yes" even if your current partner is the unicorn. I'm of the belief that this kind of thinking is toxic to relationships. If you're constantly thinking that there is someone better, you will not commit to the current relationship because your eye is constantly wandering looking for that "better" partner. And chances are, you WILL find that person, but then realize that it was an illusion because you filled in the knowledge gaps about this new person with cotton candy and unicorn farts. Your current real person partner with known real flaws can never compete with the unrealistically built-up, imaginary "better" person so you end up spending your life chasing "better" when "great partner" was 5 partners back.
@sleazybtd4 жыл бұрын
"Can someone else love her better?" Also disagree with this one. The answer should ALWAYS be "yes". To answer "no" is the height of arrogance. The answer of "yes" will spark the competitiveness in you to improve yourself to love her even better. The question should not spark insecurity, but rather keep you on your toes to want to love her better instead of becoming too comfortable and complacent.
@RomeoWhiskey6924 жыл бұрын
Yes , you turned what he said on its head . I know many men who have fallen in love with a girl , and the question is almost never “ Can someone love ME better ?” In his mind ... But “ Can someone else be better for HER than me ? Can someone love HER better ?” It’s a noble question , born of true love and caring , and hard-headed practicality . He knows his capabilities., his assets , and wonders if he should make her settle for him , when she deserves more . Don’t say it is a lack of confidence.... many of these men are strong as steel ... If anything , it is an over abundance of strength , determination and discipline... An overblown sense of decency . To coldly look at one you would love with all your heart , spend your days and nights with ... and ask yourself “ No matter what is good for me , what is best for HER ?” Then have the iron will and determination to bite your tongue , stand fast , and look away , while she goes with someone else . Watch everything you want in life walk away . To serve honor rather than selfishness... To be the decent human being . It is a personal way for a man to perform The Birkenhead Drill ... self sacrifice for the love of others ... and especially ... the one . You can disagree with these men . Say they should take what they can get , and try to make it work ... get in there and win her ... he knows he probably could ... almost assuredly.... Yes , it is absolutely fatal to a relationship... because anything that might bring her closer to him , will be seen by him as a test of his will and determination . To be shut down without her knowing . But don’t dismiss them , or deride their bravery ... their decision isn’t cowardice ... it’s courage on a level most people can’t even comprehend . It’s mercy in its truest form ... I will not hurt you , by action or inaction . Your well-being is my only concern . “ Go my love ... and be happy ... Give me not another thought . I give you up so your life can be joyous ... even at the expense of my own . I will not even hint at my sacrifice , you will never know ... But I did love you so ... I will swiftly fade from your thoughts , nor will I disturb your memory . But you will always be in mine . Farewell , my love . “ Some men are made of sterner stuff than others , wise to the ways of the world , they decide to do the right thing ... no matter how much it hurts .

The person who you created in your head doesn't exist. Unless your relationship is extremely terrible abuse etc, the grass is hardly ever greener on the other side. No one is perfect and all relationships have their problems even with people you normally get along well with. If you have a person you get along with for the most parts and you guys come together and stick it out, that's something good in itself, even that is rare.

@@sleazybtd LMAO,...if you're having to compete, you can never 'win' her. I have found two in 57 years of life. They actually inspired me to want to work harder than I ever had to actually be the best versions of myself and to rise to their level of relational awareness and trust. I have to admit I was extremely cynical about ever finding that depth of love/caring in another human female who would accept me as she found me without totally wanting to make me over. But, I did.

Here’s how a friend of mine identified the keeper he’s now married: one evening a couple of years ago, after working out, he remembered he had to pick something up, so he quickly grabbed his car keys but not his wallet. When he did a rolling stop at a stop sign, a cop pulled him over. When the cop found out he didn’t have a drivers license, he arrested him. He was taken to jail and his car was impounded. He went before the magistrate at about 2:30am and was released on his own recognizance. Thinking about who to call to come get him at the county jail at 3am, he thought, if I call one of my co-workers everyone at work will know I got arrested; if I call one of my friends or relatives, everyone will be laughing about this forever. Then he remembered this girl he had only dated about three times, who he really liked, and was kind of outside of his social circle. They didn’t really know each other that well, but he decided to call her and said, hey, I just got out of jail and I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind coming to pick me up. She said, sure I’ll be there in about 45 minutes.....never asked one word about why he had been put in jail. As she was driving him home at 4 in the morning (it was a work day for both of them), he got to thinking, you know, this is the kind of woman who would make a really good wife. After a few more dates, he asked her to marry him. Picking him up at the jail at 4 in the morning without even asking why he was in jail elevated her above all the other women he knew and had ever known.

A high school teacher of mine named Walter Melnicoff said that his daughter asked him if the boy she was dating is the right person for her. He came up with what he called his greatest invention... ( THE LOVE EQUATION ) Walter asked the daughter, " how much does he respect you vs how much he lusts for you ? " according to the equation... LOVE = 51% respect + 49% lust According to him that all the people that followed this without lying to them selves stayed married cause the other important differences got worked out from the mutual respect and the desire to be together. (( remember folks... usually sex without love isn't just wrong but it's also cruel ))

One of them made me sleep on her couch, made me go to sleep early, made me chicken soup and got me well. We got married six weeks later. Been together 34 years. All good advice, no issue with that. What I have come to understand is that a relationship is a process, and a process is only as strong as its weakest link. If the process has a weak or broken link.....then it is not able to carry the weight. Just think of a chain that has to lift a weight, if that chain has a week or broken link, it will not work. Most honest people go into a relationship wanting it to work. Overlook a weak link in the relationship, and it will not be good.

Wingmam is great! Love her no bullshit. I’m here to challenge my views for my own kids, so I can advise them. I’ve been married for decades. If I compare the woman I almost married vs the one I did, they’re almost on par on this list. The other woman failed in one key area: she didn’t have my back and her life was chaotic. The more I saw over, the bigger her mess. Now, my wife fails on the following. 1-waiting staff: if their attitude is bad, my wife will let them know without going berserk. She will he matter-of-fact 5-life of her own: my wife is an engineer and an introvert. She loves fiddling with things and reading books. 8-lifts my spirits when I’m down: my wife shows great care and makes sure I have peace and quiet. That works for me 16-she’s got your back: my wife won’t defend me if I don’t deserve it. She will raise it only if it’s relevant.

Oh for sure. Seriously.... I have these traits. I’m generally a nice person. A giver. The guy I’m “ dating” right now has seen this in me. He “ likes” that I’m kind, and funny. He “ likes” my mushy heart, and the love I give him. So much so that he keeps his options open. No man has ever appreciated these qualities in me because I don’t have the perfect packaging. In my personal experience.... men take a woman with theses traits for granted while they look for someone younger, prettier and more of a challenge. They want the chase and get bored easily and never want to commit. Needless to say, even though I absolutely adore my guy, i will be walking away. I do all the initiating, all the chasing when he does the hot and cold thing, and I’m tired of being told that he’s “busy”. It’s not fun finding out your only an option.

I just broke up with a woman I had been dating a while. The final straw: being rude to a server for no reason. The guy was awesome, and she was super rude. Dumped her after dinner.

Damn. This one is good. I had a great marriage locking in on most of these parts. You provided the piece of the puzzle why it eventually failed. Had to do with 'love language' and 'compromise'. Won't elaborate, but you gave me an insight. Thanks for that. We have kids and are still raising them together. Being past the hurt makes it easier to work as a team on parenting. She has a new relationship and is happy so I'm happy for her. Happy single but lately found I have the emotional space for a new relationship. (Pro tip, you have emotional space when you actually 'see' and feel the other person when you're interested. You're able to connect) Keep it up, your videos seem quite opinionated but informative and valuable nonetheless.

As woman I will say , it is really difficult to be intimate with an inconsiderate partner. It’s not like I do it on purpose, but hiding with my hurt and having sex with a man so he doesn’t feel rejected is emotionally painful and plain wrong.

@@ilbgbg Sounds like your man needs a few words of wisdom from you or a marriage counselor... Suppose you could try by asking him if he would be interested in more happiness in his life, and if so, give him a few words of appreciation first, then add the HOWEVER word and spell it out to him... Hopefully he will listen, if you speak in a voice, just slightly more than a whisper... Pulling for you Dear Heart....

The clever use of humor and indirect references to intimacy keep the viewer/listener intent on the video. In a similar fashion, the most effective minister, I know, injects humor about every 5 minutes into his sermons . The blessing at the end of videos adds a strong statement of caring for the audience. Hopefully, most others see the quality of preparation & skill @ work in Anna's videos.

"IF" she's a keeper? HAHA 1) she's been fantasizing about her wedding since her first Barbie doll, and wants the house/car to match. 2) Her wedding gown is an heirloom and will be saved for generations, while your tux. is RENTED. 3) her ring MUST (according to the stupid jewelry rip off stores theory) be equal to 3 months of your salary, which she will eventually pawn...while your ring has no diamonds and is a bare piece of metal or silicon rubber, 4) She'd really rather you not even be there for her special day since it's all about her, heck you and your family will just ruin it by being there and by taking some of the attention away from her. 5) She's been taught since day one that she's "special" and "deserves" to be happy....the moment she's not happy, watch out (think scenes from the exorcist)....then if all that survives one day you will wake up alone, because she doesn't know who she is anymore and has to go find herself, albeit not alone but with a high school sweetheart, that somehow knew her much better.....all because she "deserves". Dogs are indeed man's best friend, and women are womens best friend. Give them what they want so nobody gets hurt...or steer clear and have a dog!!

Anna's seems to be looking to sociopathic personalities to avoid. Dr. Phil wrote a whole book called "Life Code" that helps you spot sociopaths. My sister is a sociopath and she always yells and insults waitresses which is to opposite of tip number one. My recommendation is to hire a private investigator and have a comprehensive background check and surveillance done like the wealthy have done for years.

This is the best of your videos I’ve watched so far. Recently started dating again (i’m 60) and found your channel. Love the way you present, your cadence, and esp your humor. Your sense of humor and intelligence actually reminds me of the lady Im dating now and “vetting”. The questions at the end are “stop- me-in-my-tracks” profound. The one I had already started asking myself is whether I am “the one” for her? I.e., maybe thats the reason we found each other: God wants someone to truly love her, and I’m the best qualified man for that job.

@@southwest3671 I know on Kevin Samuels' channel, he always quotes that 80% of divorces are filed by women. It deals with modern feminist media and Instagram culture that makes them feel they're missing out, but they end up as a 40-something with kids hopelessly stuck in the dating scene.
