Nice to see Sam clearly practicing his breathing control during posing, Jay Cutler's advice paying off!

Neck posture needs to stay straight up and neutral. The face needs to look relaxed and confident. Breathing needs to appear easy and relaxed. Bods about there. Now make it look natural and easy Sam.

I'm 220 pounds at the moment. I started my weight loss journey at 308 a couple months ago. My goal is to see what I look like at 200. I've really worked on repairing the disordered eating that got me as big as I am, while still allowing myself a piece of cheese cake or a cupcake here and there. I've been notoriously over restrictive to myself in past, trading out one form of disordered eating for another, overindulgent to over restrictive. I'm not the lowest body weight I've ever been as an adult, but I for sure feel the strongest and most confident. The only meal I followed these last months is meal plan from website OnlyMeal which is so flexible with ingredients. Like I can always swap rice with pasta, chicken with beef... That is a game changer

I'm 38. I started lifting when I was 14. I generally do a lot of light work first to wear myself out a little bit and then pyramid up in weight. The fatigue i get from all the work leading up to my top sets on my pyramid makes it so I don't lift super heavy. That way I have a built in failsafe against my ego and don't get hurt anymore. Also keep going Sam! I started watching because of everyone saying how dangerous of an example you are. I watched and thought the exact opposite. You're exactly what other young men need to see. You're the type of guy anyone would want to lift with.
@crow296728 күн бұрын
How I train, I try and follow Dorian Yates logic. I do two warm up sites increasing in weight and then my final set of max weight to failure aiming for 8reps to max (light, medium, heavy)
@CodyBunker28 күн бұрын
@crow2967 that's a solid method. I did stuff like that when I was younger. As I have gotten older, it takes more to get everything warmed up. I used to start with main exercises like bench, squat etc. Now I start with lots of less intense ones. But yeah if what you're doing is working then don't stop doing it. We're all different. Do you feel you get enough volume.
@Sans_Solo_28 күн бұрын
For 2025: Age 51 do a 5-day Bro split w/ 2 days rest - chest,back,legs,arms,shoulders (with cardio on rest days). Inspired by Mentzer & Sulek (sounds like a law firm) I've decided to implement what I call 10:45 workouts. Limit myself to 10 hard sets to failure (moderate weights) and 45 mins. of cardio per workout. All while trying to main-gain diet wise. Also plenty of hydration and sleep. All alcohol has been eliminated.
@crow296728 күн бұрын
@@CodyBunker absolutely, I used to train loads of volume and doing drop sets and all sorts. But now with chest as an example I’ll do incline, flat, flyes and dips. Which is probably overkill in itself. But take each exercise to failure.
@CodyBunker28 күн бұрын
@@crow2967 nice. Sets to failure are always intense. Can be tons of volume as well. Working hard consistently like that is what it's all about

About the snow and evening/night brightness. Ues, it is very much so: when there is snow, things gets brighter. Both day and evening/night. Talking as someone from northern part of the World (Estonia, Europe). Glad you figured that out, Sam. As someone with ingeneur education and having capabilites of thinking logically, expected nothing else/less from you. You are getting (already being) in a bretty shreded state. My humble suggestion is: be careful in order not to push it too far, as far (if) you are not aiming to compete any time soon. And addition to that, don’t get hurt when lifting (heavy and/or relatively light) Stay strong and healthy (most important)! Raimo Estonia, Europe
