In this episode I trudge through the upstate New York tundra in search of a Small Plot.
I'll be solo hammock camping, caveman cooking hotdogs directly on the coals, and relaxing next to a giant billboard.

Prickle brambles bring back memories of my childhood when 5 of us foster children went out into the woods behind the house to look for blackberries. We had our pails with us and were walking along merrily for about an hour when we finally saw a blackberry patch. We began running toward it when we saw the patch move and heard something large in the patch. We stopped and all of a sudden a huge black bear raised its head and looked at us over the blackberry patch... which made us freeze with fright since we could not have been more than 10 feet from the bear with the patch between us. The bear began to wriggle his nose as though he was smelling us while we were still frozen with fear. Then, all of a sudden, the bear went back down to all fours and slowly walked away. Needless to say, we all turned around and ran back home as fast as we could, without a single blackberry in our pails! The next morning, we all had a surprise. It seems that the bear smelled the smoke coming out of our smoke house where our foster partents had been smoking a ham. (If you don't know what that is, you build a safe fire inside the smokehouse in a container and hang a ham from the rafters over the smoke. The smoke exits the top of the smokehouse through a vent.) The morning after our black bear encounter we exited the back door of the house and found that there were large scratches at the latch area of the smokehouse and the door was slightly ajar. When we looked inside, the ham was gone. Obviously, the bear had been able to claw the latch open and go inside to steal the ham. As a foster child in several homes, you can imagine that my life was colorful growing up. I'm amazed that I'm alive today after all the escapades I've been through.

I've lived in the Rochester area my entire life, born and raised here. Anytime of year along the coast or in the Woods there are beautiful campgrounds you can take trailers and tents to if you rent out the space. However there are plenty of Wooded areas where you can stealth camp that are so peaceful and serene. In the middle of summer I used to camp in the forests around my area and besides the bugs they are so peaceful. The amount of wildlife sometimes is the only issue.

It can get crowded in there! I wish i had a better pic, but it was the best I could find quickly. Cheers man!

I have this incredible urge to munch on some hot dogs and buy an F150. Awesome video. I feel your pain on the filming issues, just finished an Amtrak/SEPTA stealth with a bunch of issues. 13°F... Gimbal was buggy, GoPro dieing, Camera app on the phone crashing, batteries not charging, phone not charging. Lost a lot of footage. As soon as I got home I ordered a bunch of Enduro GoPro batteries. Thanks for a great video.

It's great! Easy and bright. The only downside is it doesn't have red light, and you can't adjust the angle down if you're doing something on your lap

Both! Sometimes I scout them if I'm unsure or it's in a sketchy area without anywhere else nearby to camp. If i go without scouting it's usually because there's a different option elsewhere in case my first attempt doesn't work out
