For those of you who didn't know, Jeff lost his 5 month battle with cancer on April 27th. Among his many great qualities, his passion for riding, his wonderful content creation and his amazing cooking will be greatly missed. We love ya, man. RIP, my friend. 😢

Thank you @sig_nified - I just heard this morning through another channel and was heart-broken and shocked but also curious when it happened. I have been following Ol' Man Ronin's channel the last couple years and first discovered it through Her Two Wheels' channel. He certainly seemed like a real salt of the earth and genuine type of person and he will forever be missed! My heart and prayers go out to Iron Lady, I'm so so sorry for your loss, he was a great soul and I would have loved to be able to try his food and meet him in person! Unfortunately I'm on the east coast and was never close enough for a day trip. Please let us know where the best place to contribute would be, I would love to help out! We just lost my father-in-law to stage 4 cancer as well a few days after Christmas this past year so I can definitely relate and understand how difficult it must be during this time. May God give you peace and comfort during this time. ❤🏍❤🏍❤🏍❤

I am so sorry. Just discovered the channel a couple days ago because I had also just became aware of the Royal Enfield. I was inspired by his videos from a year ago and just bought the 'Root Beer' 350 meteor today from Motozilla in Warren, Oh. Haven't ridden in 45 years. Am on the list for the Super Meteor 650 when it arrives and was anxious for the reviews. I guess I'll have to do that one by myself.

Here’s another worth a mention. If you can only park on your drive, keep your tires of the concrete as the cement in the concrete can affect the rubber over long periods. 👍 also haven’t seen any new vids. Hope this comment finds you well. If not then I wish you good health my friend.

We keep ours in a covered and wind protected breezeway, hooked up to battery buddies, they're crowded into the breezeway with 2 other bikes and the lawn tractor/snowplow. It's 6 degrees here right now, on the way to negative numbers, so everything's seriously COLD! All our bikes are air cooled rather than have radiators, so I don't have to worry about the blocks getting cracked, but baby, it's cold outside!!!

For us Ohio peeps (and PA too), fill up with Ethanol Free gas at Sheetz. The ethanol is what combines with the water and causes separation.

Put my Meteor in storage today 😢 I filled the tank, added stabiliser, checked the tire pressure, lubed the chain, cleaned the bike up, will be hooking up a trickle charger (in 2 days) & covered it with a breathable cover. I never (OG talking now) did ANYTHING to my bike before when storing it for the winter. And that was just plain stupid. Thanks for the tips, OMR 👍✌ Can’t wait for Spring 😎

Just going into a third winter with my Himalayan (I ride every day, all year round). The Himalayan is the best handling bike on ice and snow I've ever had in over 40 years of riding. Earlier this year I fitted Continental Escape tyres in place of the stock Pirelli MT60 tyres. On sheet ice the Continental tyres feel even more sure-footed than the MT60s. Really looking forward to seeing how they perform in the heavy snow that is due in a couple of weeks.

Great tips,and if I may add, I also start using no ethanol gas in october exclusively. All marinas have it and its easy to find using no ethanol web sites...I also use it for all of my small engines,including snow blower,chain saw etc.its costly and im not wealthy,but my engines and plastic hoses etc.dont harden up and rot,and always start right up after layover..(I also use some fuel stabilizer) just for some extra insurance. I dont cover either,I like to look and see them through these brutal Ohio winters..love your channel!

G'day Ronin from Australia, great tips and always enjoy your commentary, glad I'm able to ride my bikes all year round, but if an ice age hits I'm now prepared, just kidding, I keep the batteries on a trickle charger, and wash and cover the bikes, our Sun can suck the goodness out of your bike if left outside in the Summer 🌞🌞🌞 just like your Winters, cheers mate LoL Neil 🤠.

Excellent and timely episode. I've been using the Providence brand fuel treatment from Rural King to save a few bucks. It works well. I also take an old T-shirt and cut a couple of 6-7" circles. Place 5-6 mothballs and create a bag. Using soft wire, I attach the baggies on each end and drape it over the side cover that covers the air cleaner. It keeps mice from nesting in the air box. Honda VTX air filters are not cheap and the moth balls keep the mice away. Take care!
@lisaaz2120
@lisaaz2120 2 жыл бұрын
use knee highs or ankle highs for moth balls. you can buy a box of 6 pairs for 4 bucks. i put moth balls in and would tie them to a fence on the perimeter of my house when i lived in the city because of mice and rats. it keeps snow and rain from washing them away.👍

Hi Jeff. Another useful video for all riders, thanks. Following on from your last video about the 5 reasons you love the Classic 350 and 500, one of the reasons was the fact that we are all part of the Royal Enfield `family`. On that note, I saw a very sad video yesterday from a guy over there in the U.S., called LeveyAngeles. That is his channel name and he posted a video yesterday, simply titled `November 14, 2022 LeveyAngeles`. I ask you and all those who see this comment, to watch that video and send him a message of support for his recovery. Many thanks. Dave.

Great ideas for winterizing and storage. While I ride my scooters through the winter I'm not sure what I'll do with the Himalayan. I certainly won't take it out in the snow but we generally have lots of dry days in the winter. I'm not sure what my temperature limit is on the Himalayan though. It doesn't have the winter protection I have installed on the Vespa. I'm thinking 25F maybe. I'll have to see how well the Kemimoto gloves do in sub-freezing air. As always, you make really smooth, engaging videos. I always enjoy watching!

let them be. Firing them up eliminates the oiling or fogging of he cyclinder. PLUS heating then cooling breeds condensation. The only thing else is roll your bike forward or backward so you don't get flatspots in long setting tires
